Giving points for forgiving a teamkill would no doubt lead to stat exploiting.

Forgive: Counts as a death, 0 points added to dead tk'ers score.Sh*t happens.
Punish: Tk'er deserves it, -4 added to their score. Intentional tk or they were completely retarted.
Neither button pushed: -2 added to tk'ers score. Minor mistake that still needs punishing.

the problem with this is not the teamkilling, but the fact that people are just whiny little 2 year olds when it comes to getting teamkilled... 90% of the teamkills are punished on any given server just because the person is too immature or stupid to realize it was a mistake or, god forbid, their fault... i mean, EA put in the giant skull and crossbones for a reason... and don't blame me because you ran over a mine and couldn't see it cause you pressed alt...

i think just elimination of the system would be preferable, it just causes headache
