For some perspective I'm running a 2.4c, 1gb ram, and a 9800pro. With the proc fsb OC'd to 250mhz, I play a solid 60fps running 1280x1024 on medium, 2XAA.

I have a 2.4 gig CPU 1.5 gig ram and only a 9700pro, I run in 1024x768 with everything high but shadows off (shadows have huge pixels and look ugly).. most time I have 40 fps.. but sometimes it drops down to 22 fps.. overall very good playable..

if you configured your pc well, a 9700 pro is still a good card

I would like to upgrade my video card for my pent4 w/ ht dell w/ 3ghz, 1gb ram, xp professional and i know that my graphics card isn't all that great considering the graphics are so $hitty...i want a good card for the money but im more concerned about the quality...i need some advice

I run a AIW 9700np @ medium settings with 2xAA/4xAF low lighting, low shadows and I get great FPS (really it's pretty smooth). This is with a 3000+XP w/ 1GB DDR. It's a great card that can easily keep up with a 9800.
