not exactly, you will shoot at an enemy and you will see, team vehicle damage, or a team kill, because it ignores the enemy and goes for the team mate

i think they should improve the tracking capabilities of stingers and IGLAs... i don't know a single person who has gotten a plane kill from one of those sources because the missiles border on retarded... i've had better luck with the SRAW

even when firing at slow moving transport helicopters their accuracy is ridiculous... if you fly lateral to the stinger/IGLA site, your attacker has like a 10% chance to actually hit you (at a long/medium range, if they're close you can just fire at em without tone) plus with flares, people in Blackhawks don't really have to worry about static SAM sites, just the airplanes... i was in the MEC attack helicopter once, and this either proves my ability as a pilot or the fact that the missiles are horrible, but i had 2 Stinger and 2 JSFs locked onto me, fired a grand total of 14 missiles... none of them hit me... and its not like i was going the speed of sound and making turns on a dime, the MEC attack helicopter is a flying brick. all i had to do was bank left, then right and i saw a flurry of missiles wizz past me, then 2 JSFs (and then they hit a building, funny stuff) and i went back to terrorizing the battlefield...

I was embarrasingly blown out of the sky by someone in an AA position today, mainly because I was busy talking on the phone and so didn't realize that it was an AA position and not an APC or something I was lining up on (oops!).

The problem with the missiles and friendly fire isn't just that they will reaquire to a friendly source (which they normally wouldn't have locked onto anyway) but they will aquire the source no matter where it is (they don't even have to be CLOSE to the missile) and it seems almost like they 're-launch' so they can make better than a 90 degree turn and head straight off after your friend (this after they failed to make a 15 degree turn to follow their initial target).

I've never noticed that AA vehicles trying to lock friendlies, are you sure about that? I've only ever noticed them lock hostiles (though most times I've been in them, there haven't been very many friendlies buzzing around).
