    Medics...stop shooting medics!

I've only just broke even on my K/D for medic!

I don't think thats fair - I'm a hell of a combat medic, and I've had to make up the 100 or so deaths I got as medic when getting shot whilst trying to revive people.

I don't understand why I've got this K/D ratio of 1:1 when I get at least 3 times as many kills as deaths every map as medic..I get plenty of revives but I make sure anyone around me gets a bullet in the eye before hand.

I think you people shouldn't shoot medics

    I'm sure they didn't shoot them in WW2 :P

Hey I don't have an assault rifle, I have a straw with a garden pea in it known as the L85A1.

I can't stand the M16 as theres no full auto for close range hosing people down, and at range all guns with burst fire suck, and single shots seem to kill easily.

Seriously though, it musta been because I get blown up by planes whilst waiting for the chopper that I get so many medic deaths :/

          lmao. Picture it.

Strike at Karkand, absaloute madness in a street gun fight, MEC and US soldiers everywhere. One n00b runs out into the street, and gets mowed down.

          Charleh: F*CK. STOP FIRING!

Charleh runs out into the street, to revive his comrade. Silence comes over the map.....

          *BZZT*
          Charleh: Clear!
Charleh: Alright buddy, you're good to go!

The two MECs run off the street, and the firing begins again.

          Sorry. Not gonna happen.

You're a soldier first, and a medic second.

That reminds me of what happened on karkand today. I was in a tank and taking over the far western flag when the enemy came up behind the wall and I killed one of them. The medic quickly revived his comrade and then I killed him again. The guy kept reviving his buddy at least 6 times before I got tired of both and shot a shell into there. It made for a nice laugh though. This game should limit revives to 2 per soldier and then it's a forced respawn. Same goes for ammo resupply, should be limited to two ammo boxes per respawn.

I'm a full time medic on BF 2 and if i'm getting fired upon i will lay down fire, chuck a few nades at the enemy to cover my approach to a wounded teamate, having said this if i was in a position where i was stuck behind a wall and a few metres away was a guy who needed reviving however there was also an apc or a tank i wouldn't risk going to revive him as if i did even manage it chances are both me and the guy i had just revivied would be dead. I have a positive k:d ratio as a medic simply because i tend not to run out and reivive someone if it means death for me and the person i am reviving, its pointless in that way. I personally say medics should be shot at just like anyone else as given the chance i would shoot a medic on the opposite team.

                    The moral of the story:

When you're a medic, make sure the enemy is no longer a threat before you revive!

                      Medic-fest

This one's fun actually. In a backyard, post a few guys all round the roofs. Then an enemy runs into the backyards, he gets mawn down. A medic is nearby. He hears the cry, runs to him, gets mawn down. Luckily his teamleader is hiding in cover. Same medic gets there 6 seconds later, runs in the backyard again. Gets shot again. By the time this happens, numerous other medics on the field are atracted like mots by the light. They begin running to the pile of dead soldiers in the middle of the yard...

And there's the 1000$ question. You see a pile of dead soldiers in the middle of a backyard surounded by buildings that are easy cover for an ambush(meh??). Do you A, run directly to them. B, check out the situation. C, what's an ambush, what's cover, huh?

You need to practice the running revive useful if you don't know where the enemy is firing from.

Pull out defib - sprint - dive - just before you reach teammate press fire - defib fires as you reach teammate - revive teammate - sprint - pull gun - both of you fire on enemy and kill them.

You never stop moving and most people will aim at the moving target and miss, meaning they reveal their location.

I almost always revive using this method and very, very rarely get killed in the process.

you are teh_Combat Medic: Mission First, Medical Aid second. If you see a downed comrade, seek out and eliminate the enemy BEFORE attending to the victim
