In WWII The Germans Would stop firing at corpsman but in the pacific theater the japanese would actually shoot the medics first. Thats why Navy Corpsmen started dressing like Marines and they still do. All the Corpsmen in my Unit wear the digi cammies just like us but they only have a beretta. They had M16's once but that was because we didn't have enough pistols for them.
Medics...stop shooting medics!

I hate the fact you don't get EXTRA time to revive a fallen comrade too...it would be nice if you could shoot the downed soldiers to finish them off - I don't think you can with rifles, but you can do it with explosives or by running them over.
I just find it hard to get to someone whos 30m away sometimes before their corpse fades away - shooting bad guys before you revive someone is an impossibility a lot of the time.
Would be nice if you could just lie there for as long as you wanted wounded (or maybe 1 minute or something) if you saw a medic coming :P

Medic are a PRIME target especially if you are in defense.. if you dont shoot them they revive thier sqaud mates and you have more people to defend against.Originally posted by CharlehHey I don't have an assault rifle, I have a straw with a garden pea in it known as the L85A1.
I can't stand the M16 as theres no full auto for close range hosing people down, and at range all guns with burst fire suck, and single shots seem to kill easily.
Seriously though, it musta been because I get blown up by planes whilst waiting for the chopper that I get so many medic deaths :/
They are also really handy if you are low on health. shoot em nick the kit, heal yourself, drop some packs, pick up your old kit and away you go..
the idea of 'coup de grace' on fallen sqaud mates is a little cold dont you think ?
I like the L85A1 on single shot but the G36C is my baby....

I play a lot as medic, and i always expect to be shoot. I play as a soldier first, when situation is clear, i play the medic. If i see a medic in front of me, the heck with medic solidarity, i shoot to kill !

I give up the ghost a lot to save others, that's just me though. As someone said, by the time I get to the body, I probably only have about 5 seconds to revive them, and they can probably do more damage to the enemy than I can with my medic kit, so...take one for the team! It hurts my K/D ratio badly but I don't care all that much.

Wow... I might start playing Medic. That just sounds like fun.Originally posted by Carlos.T.JackalPull out defib - sprint - dive - just before you reach teammate press fire - defib fires as you reach teammate - revive teammate - sprint - pull gun - both of you fire on enemy and kill them.

I think we should has a gentlemans agreement between medics to not shoot each other until all the other classes are down...
Or when two medics meet, they show pull out the defribs and go at it like men...
Seriously, as a playing as a medic I see myself more as a regular grunt than anything else, I fight and assault with everyone else using the medic equipment as and when necessary but taking the flag and shooting the enemy is the primary concern...
A couple of medics and a support guy can make all the difference in maintaining the momentum of an assault or is shoring up a defensive line... Personally if I can get to you, revive you and get away still alive there is no reason the guy I just revivied should not be able to get back into the fight...

I don't think thats fair - I'm a hell of a combat medic, and I've had to make up the 100 or so deaths I got as medic when getting shot whilst trying to revive people.
I don't understand why I've got this K/D ratio of 1:1 when I get at least 3 times as many kills as deaths every map as medic..I get plenty of revives but I make sure anyone around me gets a bullet in the eye before hand.
I think you people shouldn't shoot medics
I'm sure they didn't shoot them in WW2 :P
I had the same thought dude....I hate running into battle not knowing whether its worth healin your mate or pissin off to the UAV where you know where all the dudes are.
But then i Earned the unlock of the Snipe Weapon and enimy medics were my saviour...... Pop-em off whie there healing n ****.... Sometimes you'll get groups of like 4 of em..... 3 kills...wait for the other to heal.... kill the next...and so on.

Just an FYI, that K/D ratio is not who you were killed by, but what you died as.
And under the weapons K/D ratios, the deaths column means thats the weapon you had out when you died. NOT that you were killed by that weapon.

Don't shoot? What's next - engineers?
In the game, the medics revive any player to full health. If I see a medic reviving someone, he's toast. I think of it as 2 for one.
In a "real" war, the medic is simply trying to save a life... most wounded probably aren't going to fight in that battle again, and would actually slow down their comrades rather than help add anything valuable.
What's next? Don't shoot the engineers as they repair a tank?!
