Yes its still working, I just got finished setting up ours to use mofinos server and its working fine.

Last night we finally have unlocked all weapons too after some pleading with our provider who was quite reluctant to have us change the Hosts file. As I understand it there are no legal consequences to be afraid off since you (or Mofino's script) doesnt break the Eula. Also redirecting to a server spoofing the GameSpy server to allow the weapons to be unlocked doesnt present a greater security risk as the gamespy setup does.
So: Thanks a lot Mofino for enabling us to use your server and script.

Good tip OAK sider. Game.monitor is a handy tool. I had no problem finding our server.
Maybe our server was rebooted at that time. We have the unlocked weapons redirect feature turned on, but are also running CO-OP (with bots) which means you can have only one map in rotation without crashing.
So in order to change maps we restart the server frequently. Also occasionaly we load up the great Merc 3.0 Mod. Well I guess you get the idea Come and have a game some time :)

If you like the Merc Mod you will prolly also like the work of SuperFuzzer of the TNT clan. He created Fuzz and its quite hilarious to hear the horns of the vehicles blast "flight of the valkeries", have turbo boost on some, Multiple rockets on attack Helo (even a locking stinger!!!), see the blood spray around, improved weapons (and even 1 extra with ya) and more goodies.
