I've looked through your post and I've also visited some of the servers that are using your spoofed reply algorithm.
I've taken the 1.02 Server both Linux and Windows. I've updated the local hosts file and indeed bf2web.gamespy.com pings back with 209.91.168.238.
I went into bf2/mods/bf2/setttings/serversettings.con and saw with the default install the following were set.
sv.useGlobalRank 1
sv.useGlobalUnlocks 1
However, I'm not able to get a Windows or Linux server unlocked. I must be doing something wrong, but I'm at a loss right now.
What else is there to change to get this to work?
I brought up Ethereal on my Windows box to look at the server connect out and the only thing I noticed is a conversation with battlefield2.available.gamespy.com on port 27900. I never saw a communication with my server and bf2web.gamespy.com.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. :wall:
