Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
With the game fully installed with 1.2 (hotfix) patch and punkbuster.
NB. If you reinstall everything, the likelihood of any issues you now have, changing, will be slim, so just do the MD5 test now with the issues you have.
ive been ctding on fushe pass so i ran md5summer twice, once with my black sheep 512 stick (refer to my post on this page) and once without .
results after first run:
Battlefield 2\BF2ServerLauncher.exe ERROR: Checksum did not match.
Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\common_client.zip ERROR: Checksum did not match.
Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels\Dragon_Valley\client.zip ERROR: Checksum did not match.

Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies\menu_loggedin.bik ERROR: Checksum did not match.
Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Objects_client.zip ERROR: Checksum did not match.
it shows errors on my intro, menu and menu_loggedin.biks, even though they seem to play without problem. all the maps that had errors in their server/client.zips play fine as well.
results after second run (minus that stick of 512):
Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels\Mashtuur_City\client.zip ERROR: Checksum did not match.
Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies\Dice.bik ERROR: Checksum did not match.
Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Objects_client.zip ERROR: Checksum did not match.
im confused
i havnt run memtest but im pretty sure theres something wrong with that ram, so i guess that kinda explains it to a certain extent. the only errors that match are the objects_client.zip in the BF2 folder. after taking that 512 out i can load fushe pass just fine but im still confused.
edit: and only 8 errors running it a third time with the 512 back in.
Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels\Dalian_plant\server.zip ERROR: Checksum did not match.
Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels\Daqing_oilfields\client.zip ERROR: Checksum did not match.

this doesnt make any sense and now im ctding like crazy.
I have had the same "MD5 error on certain files during install" problem as many of you. As a result of this I was unable to patch to version 1.01 and then 1.02.
I have solved this and (so far) have eradicated the "Unmodified content" problem which I was having. I am now able to join over 1000 ranked servers out of over 4000 total servers instead of 4 ranked out of 200-odd before.
My problem involved my 2x512Mb (1GB) matched pair RAM.
Here's what I did...
1. HAD PROBLEMS WITH INSTALL (MD5 errors)
2. Switched off PC and removed my second matched pair RAM module. (Now down to 512Mb from 1GB)
3. Rebooted and retried install of Battlefield 2. -Same errors reoccurred.
4. Switched off PC and swapped the RAM module I had left in for the one I had originally taken out. (now again at 512Mb RAM)
5. Rebooted and retried install of Battlefield 2. -This time no errors, installation completed succesfully.
6. Rebooted when prompted by Install Shield.
7. Patched to v1.01. -Successful, no errors.
8. Patched to v1.02. -Successful, no errors.
9. Switched off PC and refitted second matched pair RAM module. (Now back up to 1Gb RAM)
10. Rebooted and played successfully without previous "Unmodified content" errors. (So far!) and patched to version 1.1.2484.0.
N.B. I run a two hard drive system with drive 1 as C: and drive 2 partitioned into D: and E:. Each time I installed Battlefield 2 it was to D:/Battlefield 2.

I've started to get this message in the last couple of days, the game has ran fine with the 1.02 patch for weeks only change is i've installed cat 5.8's a day or two ago, but surely that shouldn't produce this error - anyways have reinstalled ran pbweb and installed the patch in safe mode and i'm still getting the error.
I was wondering... What files are allowed to be modified? Because I edited some of my control keys so I could re-program some of the default keys to do what I want. For instance, the Insert, Home, PageUp, PageDown, Delete, and End keys are located right above my arrow keys and I use them as my main directional movement keys in every game I play, but BF2 wouldn't allow me to program them in my control settings, so I went into one of my config files for the game and I edited the keys in notepad to do what I want them to do, then I was able to play the game using the keys I wanted to use. Then I edited my name. I never got an error about using modified files and I was still able to play on all of the servers, a week or so went by and suddenly I got kicked for using modified files, so I reinstalled the patch and everything was fine again and I was able to get back on the servers. Another week went by and suddenly I'm getting the modified files error again. I'm a nice guy, but I'm starting to get a little pissed off. I'm about to re-install the patch again to see if it helps, but yeah, my question again... what files are BF2 players allowed to modify without getting the error? Is it ok to rename myself and change some default game keys to be my movement control keys? Because it was working for a while, now I'm just getting confused, and I don't feel like buying a Z-Board or sticking with the stupid name I gave myself when I original installed the game and logged in.

OK I refuse to believe that everyone with this problem has bad RAM. For one thing, my computer never has other reboots, RAM related issues. Why don't all my other games have problems? They all seem to work just fine! Why can I run everything on my brand new computer but this POS software!? Why does a game that looks so unimpressive also take up so much RAM!? WTF IS WITH THIS GAME! SOMEONE MAKE IT WORK!
I went from my game running pretty good to some weird graphics bugs. Then I got unmodified content. I decided to reinstall and all the problems began. I started getting md5 errors during install. Then patch failures. Then when everything finally works. I go to play and I still get unmodified content after a fresh install. Right now about 10% of servers work for me and I'm really frustrated. I've tried a lot of things in this thread but to no avail.
Well i had a slight overclock on my system of 210 on the FSB. The ram should handle the oc (sould be good to 225+) but i've discovered that about 7 hours into the torture test with prime95 produces an error, so maybe there is a little milage to this ram theory, needless to say since reverting back to stock speeds im no longer getting the error..
what is BF2 some sort of special program that only runs with ECC memory now or what? all my other programs run fine, and i bet yours do too. so i doubt that the scores of people with this problem ALL have terribly defunkt RAM.
basically waht im saying is that in order for this thing to run, if what you're saying about the RAM is true, is that EA did a REALLY SHITTY JOB making this game and it requires a sterile clean room with perfect computers with 2GB of ECC RAM to run.
i just can't imagine a company releasing a product that DOESNT WORK HALF THE TIME. ever try to alt + tab out of the game without 1.5GB+ of RAM? good luck.
there ought to be a class action suit against EA for falsely advertizing that their product will run effectively on a 512MB system to begin with. sure if you want to have everything paged to the hard drive and wait half an hour to get it to load up!
secondly, their stock should be worth nothing if all of their games are this poorly designed and coded. what the hell is wrong with one of the oldest hands in the industry???

Actually Boss.. I'm running 2GB of ECC RAM and it still sucks :)
No matter how many times I uninstall/re-install .. manually or otherwise .. in safe mode or not in safe mode .. I run md5summer and at the LEAST my Objects_client.zip is bad.. not to mention all the other random bad files (they're almost never the same ones)..
Finally thought I had the problem kicked when I installed on another computer and dragged individual files over until I had the correct ones.. but playing tonight I've already had to repeat the process twice! It lets me play with all good files, then 45min later they're bad! Frankly I'm sick of it.

As has been said before in this post by UK.D-Hirogen Quote.... You need to read this entire thread and search for others like it as there are many. This error is not a Punk Buster related error, and there are no solutions to this problem as it is different for everyone and not confined to a working, fully patched version. End Quote
There is no point in venting/flaming about a problem just stick with the facts.

The problems you are having with BF2 are with the way your PC/Rig is set up by you, not the game!
