I noticed on the support forum while looking for the system specs again that BF2 can run on an ATI Raedon 9200 with updated drivers and firmwire... whatever firmwire is... Think the new drivers might work for my 9250? Lets see...

You also need the latest drivers for ur sound card ppl so go do it.... old sound drivers can also cause all sorts of problems. It's not ALL about ur graphics card.

I stutter alot and i dont know why, i turn firewall/anti virus off and i just reformated my computer so you would think the game will run good but no. I should be running this game perfectly on medium i dont know why my gameplay is so crappy. Dont tell me to update something on my comp, the game should run perfect on this system specially when the grapichs are on medium.

Have you tried the Omega Drivers v5.7 worked fine for me when ATI's drivers caused no end of hassle

I had the same problems with my ATI 9800 Pro,crashes and lock ups.
I found this site http://www.tweakguides.com/ATICAT_1.html and got it working good by truning down the AGP speed to4x.I didn't seem to lose any performance.

ok guys im new in this forum but i have some questions i think you guys can answer...i love bf2 except..like a few of you..im havin issues..i have a intel celeron=to a pentium 3...1.1 ghz,ati radeon 9550,and im not sure of the catalyst,but i know 5.7 dont work..i get real jumpy play and a lot of lag,i know i can barely play in this game but im already a lance corporal so i dont have major problems,i just need some tweaking advice

My framerate drops into the 30's with 64 player servers. Also my framerate drops into the 20's if I'm commander and come out of the commander menu. Dunno why it does this.

I recently put my settings up to high for textures n geometry and had the texture problem come up again. Turned them back to medium and they were ok again (had to reboot before they went though) .

This just made me realise that ATI havent put anything out to fix this yet, possibly one of the most active games out there and they havent announced anything.

Have i missed something or am i right and correctly suprised?
