just got my radeon x700 pro using a 250 w ps untill i get my 500w ps but it works much better than my ati radeon his 9550 se 128

Apparently ATI have just releasaed their catalyst 5.8 drivers, havent found a fix list yet but fingers crossed.

X850XT, no crashes, just lot lot lot lot of lags :hmm: I think it's because of my VGA getting too hot...83 celsius...anyway ATI Silencer is on the way, hope it'll help it :)

Dude...I have 3.0 with only 1 gig of ram running with a ATI x300...prior to upgrading from 512 to 1 gig, it CTD maybe 1nce or 2wice. With the Gig (yesterday), no stutter and I'm running with Med all (except for shadows light and I think texture) anyway...100% distance. and my AA was 4X.

It was golden...the only problem...is that occassionally people would be "moonwalking". Feet don't move. Anyway...I have to adjust but I'm sure I can run all on med with 2x AA.

I haven't checked my fps yet, but before with 512 it was around high 20's to 30's.

My framerate drops into the 30's with 64 player servers. Also my framerate drops into the 20's if I'm commander and come out of the commander menu. Dunno why it does this.

Studders now and then, and my fps drops quite often below 30 to 24. Overclocking seems to have increased my fps a tad bit, however I get funky graphics once in a while. I

Is that normal? I overclocked it by like... 20 or 30 MHz's. Both the core and the memory.

The ATI 5.8 Driver is out for all you X800 owners...I have a 9800 Pro and I have no issues what-so-ever and I was using the 5.6 and older....now updated to the 5.8

After a week of use on my reformated comp with AIW 9800 Pro, 5.8, 1 gig ram, 2.1 Ghz almost all on Medium settings and the game has been running like when I first installed it. No crashes anymore, no losing connection anymore(was terrible before) and no lag whatsoever. The game runs like butter, is how I like to describe it when everything is perfect.

Catalyst 5.8's (Control Center version - sadly)

Every other Catalyst I tried would cause my PC to freeze every now and then, but with the 5.8's it has yet to freeze.

No problems at all.

X800XL 5.8 never hada problem.

9800pro omega 5.6 never had problem.

Using ATI X850Xt 256mb AGP, 5.8 cats. Never had a problem once I jumped my ram to 1.5 gigs and boosted the power supply to 550w.
