There's obviously nothing that will satisfy this community except releasing an absolutely flawless patch right this instant. A patch that will nerf certain guns for those that want it and boost them for those that want it etc.. I wonder why they don't do that already

I'm actually quite happy playing 1.25. Good if they'll still do something to improve the game but it's nothing i couldn't leave without... I can't even remember when was the last time a 1.25 server i was on crashed, but in the name of server stability, i'll let them have 1.40 tested just as long as they want. Doesn't rock my world :P

You should have made a copy of your BF2142 1.25 installation before installing any beta patch. Chances are that you won't be able to upgrade from the previous beta to this beta and you won't be able to go from this Beta RC to the final official 1.40 patch. If you didn't make a copy of your 1.25 installation, you will most likely have to completely reinstall BF2142.

It's going to be nice to have an extra Titan map, but they really do need to get this one spot on

Meh I love the game even if they don't finish the 1.40 patch for a few months or whatever, I'll still play a long time ahead :salute:

It's kinda annoying that it's taking time but god give DICE a chance. They're busy with Bad Company and that new game Mirror's Edge.

          Cheers

Um, yes i do. It was fan****ingtastic, negative recoil! Ive played 2142 since the release day, not so much anymore due to the left right shake of the LMG's. Support was my favorite kit, just ask clark2312 my other soldier, hehe. The betas did fix the left right shake, and the up and down is completely tolerable, and fair. But i reverted to pre-beta garbage because i like to play 2142 for longer than 5 minute intervals, with the oh so damn wonderful "your connection has been lost":shakehead::dead:

I have never stopped playing any game until the Battlefield series, mainly 2142. All the garbage with Bf2 was complete insanity(patches with the intent of fixing, only breaking the game further) but tolerable. But this is just getting silly, in my eyes, and opinion, they didnt learn anything from Bf2, and the patching process. I understand that making a game is an extremely difficult process, but thats why you take your time, make sure you are solid before release, but yeah, its all about money, meanwhile your community:dead::dead::dead::dead::dead::dead::dead ::dead::dead::dead::dead:

It was pointless buffing the Clark because it was already the most overpowered gun on the battlefield.

What do you base that on?
The leader board are by far dominated by the Voss.
Which can be equipped with both a rocket launcher and a shotgun, like all the AR.

Clark overpowered? Again i say, It's a damn SHOTGUN. It's suppose to be powerful. But a Light Assault riffle is suppose to be Light and there is nothing light about the Voss, except the light effort it takes to get a kill with it

No, the Herzog is overpowered and they're trying to make the Clark better than the Herzog (which it currently isn't, Clark has a slower RoF so if it's not a 1 hit kill, the Herzog wins) but the problem is, the Clark is fine! The Herzog should simply move down to the 1.25 Clark RoF. But no, that'd just make the Herzog even less popular than the already near-standard rockets.

Maybe EA is delaying this on purpose.

They are trying to save some players in BF2142, because Crysis, CoD4 and other games are coming out early november.

                          Makes sense, doesn't it?

Lack of a new patch + CoD4 release are the only reasons why I stopped playing this game tbh.

If dice bring out another patch for 2142 after the 1.40 beta i will poke my eyes out and feed them to my dogs! How much testing do they need on these patches for feck sake?

                                This post is so ironic.

What do you prefer them actually testing the patch and releasing it well? Or producing a piece of crap and then unleashing it on the game.
