Thats because they don't just have time to play the game they also have played the game long enough to know how to earn points i.e. they know about tw along with they're able to kill more often then being killed and/or they just sit in titan guns and later defend their titan.
I've looked at people's stats that I've played with and sometimes I'm surprised at how much time they have put into the game but have a very low spm. For instance one guy I looked up after taking his tags in a server has played the game overall 75 days or over 1800 hrs while he has a global score of only 70,000 with a spm of .66 or another guy has played the game 72 days/1728 hrs with a global score of 131,000 with a spm of 1.15.
that contradicts NoseKi||s statement (score != skill) && (Score == time played) you get players with poors scores and lots of time played as well as players with high scores with tha same time played.

You don't have to prove anything to me though. My intention was not to attack anyone because of their stats and certainly not to say that high ranked players are somehow worse players than others.
dont get me wrong i was not taking this the wrong way at all, just a lilttle banter thats all lol
No idea why camp gib is so popular, guess it's just got a little bit of everything that makes a good map (open areas, nooks crannies etc).
Lots of Germans are high up in the leaderboard, but not all THAT many of them are really superb IMHO - quite a few of them just play one hell of a lot. I've actually found that many of the french players (especially those who spend time on clanmod) tend to be some of the most vicious and kill-hungry sharp-shooters in the game, and I fear them a lot more in honesty. Also, from playing in a league I can also happily say that I've come across a fair few Polish and Eastern european clans that can be fiercesome, but the ping doesn't really help with that.

That's because there is somewhat of a limit to how much a player will improve over time like I'll never be able to make it so I'll always have a kd 15+ on foot without camping but I can still improve from where I'm at now. Also some people will just play hours and not care about trying to improve their game and they just have fun at what they're doing while others will work on playing better so that they'll have better scores/skills/kdrs which it does take practice/time to get better.
Camp G is popular because it's a point farm. All of the most competitive clan servers are 24/7 Camp G because otherwise they can't keep up in the global rankings.
When I play on those servers may average SPM is usually 3.5+ but I find it repetitive and boring. I'd rather just hunt tanks with my pilum :salute:

QFT - the french love clanmod and have many seriously good inf players - you just don't see them pubbing.
1: Camp G. was probably the best designed map by EA... Armor isn't OPed in this map (a good commander can EMP+Orbital the enemy walker in no time flat), which means that infantry rule. The rounds don't go by super-fast, but they don't take forever. There are a bunch of nice chokepoints to Nadespam/PKRocket/Cheeseball, lots of cover, urban setting etc. Its just a fun map :p
2: I dunno, but I noticed this as well some weeks ago... Most of the Germans I have played with/hunted are horrible APC whores. Even KAIN, the notorious AFK Commander whores the APC like crazy.
Its about score per min. On camp G even the average person can get 1.5 to 2 score per min. Better players can get 2 -3 points per minute AND AND AND very quick rounds. Not like titan games that take 30-60 mins a game. Gib games are over in 15-30 mins.
In all my gaming history all my key friends have been german. Back in mechwarrior days my clan was 60% german.
maybe its something to do with the percentage of young men of all nationalities that play combat games. I think (dont quote me) that of all the euro nations more germans play online games percentage of population than any other euro nation.
Given their pop density that probably means more than most countries except the USA. Soviet nations don't yet have the density of online activety of central european countries.
ALSO The German goverment is probably one of the foremost in esnuring their population centres have the foremost internet connectivity with the highest baud rates.
Given their dedication, passion and perfectionism in ALL matters including design, engineering and technology I think its justified that so many of their countrymen represent the best 2142 have to offer.
I got 2 questions that I'd like you guys to give your opinion on.
1. How come the mostly played map is Camp Gibraltar :|:? It is easier to RDX bunny hop on that server lol j/k, i guess because of the CQC infantry fights?
2. How come most of the good/top BF2142 players are German :|:?Because the German government gives out undetectable hacks *cough*KAIN*cough*
Camp Gibralter is the best map because you can rack off AlOt of points while having an amazing time playing, and the close-quarter combat is so much fun with the lambert carbine/Baur
