Demo out a while ago.

Looks pretty interesting. Haven't tried it yet but I was a fan of the Prince of Persia series so I'll give it a go.

Demo is pretty good, was available same time as CoD4 demo. Game feels like HL2 and Max Payne, it's very enjoyable.

It's a hidden gem that is at the top of my 'to buy' list. :)

Yeah it really is a hidden gem, because i've never heard of it :p

But i think i'll stick to Assasin's Creed. Love the Hitman + Prince of Persia + Thief + etc. setting

Anyways, this Timeshift, somehow it reminded me about Judge Dredd for ps2.. Dunno why but it just did...

Timeshift was hardly a hidden gem.

Anyway, i was pretty excited about it up until i saw the gameplay videos. There's nothing that really stands out about it; it's like fear with bad AI and shinier guns.

the demo was quite fun i only used the freeze time power it was the one you could have most enjoyment with

Personnally didnt like it. The time powers didnt have enough focus on them. They lastest too short and only once or twice were you required to use them. The thing with the pipe and electricity didnt even make sence. Any my game list: Crysis, UT3 and in the very far future spore.

The game looks quite fun in my opinion. Too bad my vid card can't handle it.

I have the full game and I find it really fun. I love the whole concept of changing the way time moves to have an advantage in fire fights.

How is it like Half Life?

The whole setup. Some old guy talking **** on some videoscreen. The enemies with their alien technology. You begin as some kind of prisoner and fight your way out with alliances from separatists or something. I felt I was playing Half Life 2, just that the graphics suck and the gameplay feels like Beta.

Doesn't sound much like Half Life to me.

Though the gameplay does look like beta.

Its not really HL2. A few elements dont create HL2 atmosphere, which is unique.

I played it a few weeks ago. Didnt like it. Will play it for its storyline and thats it. AI is dumbest Ive ever seen and somehow the mouse movement is like trying to move it through glue.

Im amused that they are using a crossbow as a snipers weapon (just like in HL) though...

I've never played HL2, but I don't see why a crossbow as a sniper's weapon would be copying HL2? I remember playing James bond nightfire for my xbox, and the crossbow on there was a sniper's weapon. Since Nightfire came out way before HL2, does that mean HL2 copied them? Or, if in HL there was also crossbows as snipers, then did nightfire copy the original HL?

Remember, I've never played any half-life games, so I don't know how similar it is to Timeshift, but you can't really generalize things like that since games in that genre usually use the same concepts.


Btw, I absolutely love timeshift. I've really gotten into the game now and it's just so much fun. There's one part where you're in this giant blimp-like aircraft and you're on a mounted gun and you have to shoot down mines that are coming at you by parachute. The sequence really reminded me of one of the parts in the REALLY OLD game "Cyberia", if any of you remember that game
