CoD4 is not BFXXXXXXXX and vice versa. CoD4 is going to be a great game and in some aspects its going to beat BF. HOWEVER, there are things BF do that CoD wont.

Like most said, its a different game.

BF2 and BF2142 will not last forever and we know it... COD4 is a great game.. some will like it some will not but if you seriously think that you wont get your bunny hopper, nade spammers and nade launch-spammers in COD4 your very much mistaken.... name me a FPS online game where there is no part of the game is used to excess to aid you and help you get more kills..

who knows whats around the corner... BF2142 today.. COD4 tomorrow.. maybe BF3 the next day... things move on so dont get on your high horse about another game killing BF2142 because we all know it will happen sooner or later..

I've got around to take a look at the CoD4 demo and I must say, bye bye BF games. This game looks, sounds, feels and imo, plays so much better than anything BF has ever done.

I'm an infantry only player and I hate titan mode and any kind of vehicles, so 20:0 to CoD4 for not having vehicles.

I'm a bit unsure about things like the air strikes and helicopter, but I wont let that get in my way of playing it anyway. Pre ordered it half an hour ago :)

Default is 32 on PC, but you can mod it to allow any number. The maps are much smaller as there's no vehicles.

If you couldn't handle the style of gameplay in 2142 why did you bother buying it?

Naturally games progress and eventually most players move onto something different, but there are still thriving communities playing Quake & Quake 2.
