Yes you can see them if you happen to be on top of the wall or if your commander spots them. However, since they built that nice big wall and there are no breaks in it to get back in, other than running out of bounds up the hill between Harbor and Toll, we consider that to be using the out of bounds area, even though you can hug the wall and still techinically be in bounds. I'm sure there are servers that allow it, just as we allow players to use the rooftops and other servers don't so we could debate this until the end of time.Originally posted by RangerXMLWell thats funny, you have better chances of spotting and stopping em if they're coming along the outside them by pod surfing.
You can see them coming and shoot them on the outside from the wall without much trouble. Not to mention both sides can use this strategy to recap or capture rear flags, both sides are just as vulnerable and require team work to succeed.
If you want to talk strategy and squad work then get a squad together that will move together. A few assaults, a couple supports so you have IDS scanners, and work your way back. We only run 32 men on our Camp G server so it is very feasible for a squad working together to fight their way all the way through. I can see where this would be a problem with 48-64 men on the map and you could justify the "need" to go around the outside of the wall, but it really isn't with just 32.Comment

Hey, works for me. As long as they don't go wall glitchers are legal its cool.
Its a game and ppl are to damn hot headed, if they think they can get a free kill they will take the shoot weather your ask them nicely or try to order them not to, taking the shoot is not free especially in a game where people re-spawn. At least this way your group can avoid taking those damn pesky sidetracks. So yeah, its incredibly difficult to make your way back through a hot zone with very limited paths to take and no way of making sure no one goes rogue on anything 32 and up in Camp G. The movement is just to restricted, this is why this map is such a grinder and people like it for getting a lot of kills and points. This is also the reason I go sneaky, sneaky outside the god damn wall:PComment

I got Daemon installed and i have only been kicked once because of that.Originally posted by QuemicalIf deamon tools is giving you problems, uninstall and install back when you need it. Or just switch to a different program, Power ISo is good
If you have image mounted, right click on the Daemon image, exit and click yes to the "do you wanna leave emulation options enabled". And that's that...Comment

Probably because there's not as many demo-bunnies with the FF partially on.:)Originally posted by BallaAceYeah, our server is in the Netherlands, FF is on partially, and rooftop\ camping is allowed. It's 64 man but for some strange reason it feels less chaotic than the Timeless Gibraltar server

Funny, last night I am on our City mpas server playing Berlin. I ask the SL to throw down a beacon by a building so I could get on a roof. He says, "No, I consider roofs to be cheating." I said, "Well, it's my server and I don't so throw down a beacon." He says, "Well, it's my squad and I do so no."
So, I left his squad, made my own, had a couple buddies join it, and got on a roof.
I thought about switching teams and getting on a roof to shoot him, just to tick him off, but didn't. I'd rather have him stay in the server and play.

So why don't you go up on the roof and just knife them? Then you can take the flag from the roof. It's great fun, trust me. If there's one thing I love more than going up on the roofs, it's taking out roof walkers with rockets. Snipers on top of the Eu base are just rocket fodder.Originally posted by TheDesert_FoxI just love Camp G. when you're capping Central Camp only to find and enemy support and recon endlessly spamming nades and RDX at you from the roof.Comment

I once said on these forums (infamously) that 99% of 2142 players were ****s. They have never said that. They said "waggling" to get on top of roofs is fine, but "surfing" past chokepoints is illegal.Originally posted by TheDesert_FoxYes, DICE is attempting to cut down pod-surfing abilities with 1.4
Yes, DICE has also claimed pod-surfing to be legitimate.
Yes, pod surfing has been reportedly still possible in 1.4, or so beta patch users have claimed.
They can't fix their game and give up, IMO. If rooftop-ing is allowed, why can't a person place the beacon inside a hallway that goes through the building, like in Berlin, and completely get rid of pod movement?Comment

I know how to surf in 1.4, I even made a video about it. Well, I am making a video. Its around 80% done :p The 1.4 beta will make it so you can't surf past chokepoints on Gibraltar, but you CAN on Berlin. I'm not going to say how though, the mods might give me another infraction...Comment

I think I know where you're coming from. I predict it will be possible on Verdun, but not Belgrade :pOriginally posted by FingulfinI know how to surf in 1.4, I even made a video about it.
