1.4 beta observation...

Most of us kinda think it is a waste of time to join such a short beta. Besides, there are lots of new games out to beta: Crysis, CoD4, UT2007, etc.

I'm enjoying myself participating in those betas while waiting for a final Tampa 2142. You can find me living on =NfB= 24/7 Highway Tampa when it is released.

This current beta has been running for 4 months now. I don't see it ending any time soon as it is still FUBAR'd

In the end the next patch needs to solve these problems.

(1) Eliminate bunnyhoppers -BHP clan
(2) Eliminate hackers (BHP clan)
(3) Reduce the number of kick votes needed to boot someone. The hacker noobs get off scott free coz 90% of a server has to vote and how do you get a whole server to vote to kick the hacker? Especially when their noob clan friends keep them in!!
(4) Increase repair points gained for Engineer.
(5) Stop grenade spammers! (BHP again)

If a patch could solve all that! FANTASTIC!

Number 5 is the most important and has the potiential to change the way people play this game :0

Thanks Sonic. The server is set up, Battle Recorder is on and we are just waiting for the patch. We will change our 24/7 Suez over to Highway Tampa. We'll bump the player count up to either 48 or 64 when we make the change, just haven't decided which yet. Probably run that for a while and then bring back Suez with it running twice each map and switching sides after each round. So, mark our 24/7 Suez as a favorite and look for it to run Tampa the morning it is released.:salute:

The Beta 2 has alot less people that's for sure

Yes, it seems there were at least 10 populated servers for me to pick from last week (beta2)

Tried to play last night around 10pm, and there were only TWO. I didn't change anything in my filters btw. So I guess it's dying off.
