Sick of people killing half-injured noobs over and over and saying a weapon is amazing. The Krylov isnt that great, the SCAR just sucks. Look at the stats, not at your KDR at the end of the round.

I seriously disagree.

When I compare the Krylov with the SCAR, I can only say that the Krylov is better then the SCAR in every single aspect. True, with the 1.40 patch, things will be better, but I still think that the Krylov kills way too quickly. When I snipe, and I see a Krylov at 60m, he just crouch spams (So I cannot headshot him) ad he pops off two 2 shot bursts. I die. That is complete bs, and I haven't experienced stuff like that with the SCAR (1.40 as well as the craptastic thing it is now).
I don't understand why DICE chose to make Assault overpowered again... in BF2, medic had a superieur gun, superieur sprint, and the lack of body armor was easily made up for by the instant heal ability they had. Now, in 2142, Assault gets UBER anti infantry abilties (Yes I am looking at you PK rockets), the best weapon, more then enough sprint, and again, the heals. They should have made another fifth class: the corpsman. Heal, revive, some sort of a Lambert like gun, and perhaps some extra smoke nades...
That way Assault would be assault instead of overpowered jack of all trades -.-

Some of my clanmates can kill anyone under 1.5 sec at any range with a Krylov (except for extremely long ranges, but we have the PK rockets for that). I don't care about my Kd/r, I care about fun. And guess what? Getting one shot killed at I dunno what range is not really fun. I like gunfights, not fights where some random retarded idiot comes running around the corner, pew pew *dead*. The Krylov is THAT great. Being able to pop off 2-3 bullets with maximum accuracy brings us back to the Gay36E. Two burst kills, gee, that's fun!

I find the scar and the krylov to be equal tbh maybe its because I dont tend to try to take long range shots with either I believe that as assult its my job not to hunker down and wait (support/snipers job) I should get moving, I get to cover fast when im hit and cannot return fire and I heal myself asap then get moving again.

I was banned from tbf2 becauae I was the only person not pretending to be so hurt by 9/11.

im sick of people using tragic events as a "who can be more sensitive" popularity contest.

same thing happened when a kid died at my school, the only people who werent sticking pics on the wall and telling other students to wear black for the rest of the week where the ones who actually knew him.

In short I made a funny in a fake serious thread and everyon e else saw it as an opportunity to raise there e-spect by ganging up on me

but we arent going to discuss that any further i dont want this thread to get locked as well.

If the Krylov isn't more powerful than the SCAR, or the SCAR doesn't suck, then why is the SCAR getting a buff?

Simple logic. SCAR is underpowered, either in the whole scheme of things or just compared to the Krylov is up to opinion, but there is a certain imbalance in the assault rifles. IMO, it's the Voss that needs taming at longer ranges, not so much the Krylov, but w/e. The Baur is just perfect, not in that it's ovepowered, but that it's got a good balance and I hope it never changes.

The Krylov > Voss at range. Despite its quicker damage fall-off, it has a more powerful zoom, better deviation, and its scope shakes way less than that of the Voss for some reason. The SCAR-11 was slightly underpowered, but it wasn't underpowered enough to warrant its new buff which actually turns it into a laser... haha. No whines here though, the weapons are near enough in balance to where the better and/or more fortunate player comes out on top.

Raidyr and Dutchdude aren't really the guys to listen to about AR balance. If you're somewhat of a rational person, ignoring them will help your daily stress level loads lol.

BOT, me, i had my best video game moment ever in a Warlord round in bf2. me and the rest of the insergent team were bein raped at the tv station by an LAV, M1, and T60, no one could do anything, i was specops, got on the roof, zip lined on to the blackhawk wreckage in the intersection, c4'ed all 3 vehicles... sadly, i will probly never do somethin that cool again. some one actually thanked me, which felt fekkin awesome that they noticed.

Anyways, this thread has been hijacked enough: my story of the day... [e-peen]since I perform such deeds in BF2142 daily that most mortal consider it to be the works of of a god, a super computer, or h4x.[/e-peen]

90% of the time I am assault/medic with the Baur/PK's. The other 9% I'm spent as recon sniping (1% as engineer trying to kill a good walker pilot.) Sniper presents a fresh change in pace and tactics for me, as I'm used to playing marksman for my squad, clearing flags and perimeter flag defense, or flag rushing, which all present quite a heavy metal, baby-punching fast pace. Being that I spend such disproportionate time as sniper, I'm left at a bit of mystique by the magical headshot abilities of good snipers.

However, today, the gods of BF2142 seemed blessed me with headshot magic for a day it seems. I always go with default sniper, RDX, scope stabilizer. I spawn in Gibby on Toll, and RDX up the large gate for the buggies, and wait for just a bit. Full buggy comes running through Toll, my RDX is quite unnoticeable (as am I hidden behind the dumpster underneath the side catwalk entrance into Central), click, boom, three kills. Great. Throw down the rest of my RDX in a hurry (buggy was spotted). Full load, same trick... click, boom, three kills. However, a squad of six people were traveling into the gated side entrance directly visible from just to the right of my dumpster... all running right in my direction (unaware of me.) Boom, headshot. Boom, head shot. Boom, headshot. Three kills, rezzed PAC start popping up. Boom, headshot. Next shot hits a shoulder. I throw a distant nade, then reload. Boom, two kills. Two more people had spawned on toll and naded the rest of the squad to death, and a runner was shot by some other sniper in Harbor. Other guy went who knows where, but there are 3 people on the flag at Toll by now. I peek from the large gate into the flag complex. A nade from a teammate on the building below the sniper tower gets one. I shoot, boom, headshot. Boom, headshot. By this time, I'm telling myself, "Wow. How did I get good at sniping?" If I had a Baur, such a feet would have been impressive, but not wholly unimaginable, especially since I'd have PK rockets. But this? This was magic.

The peak came from this moment, though. Another buggy comes towards Toll. I had just regained my RDX from a supply box. I eye the spotted buggy on my radar, and line myself up to it, slightly behind one of the carts near the Rorsche. I zoom in on the buggy, and just shoot into the driver... either he was wounded (unlikely as UAV/spots made it seem that he made a straight run from PAC uncap), or it was a headshot (boom, headshot .) The Buggy rolls to a stop, the gunner sees me and shoots, I fire and kill him as well, I'm stuck at like 27 HP. The 3rd passenger has hopped out by now, I fired two shots that missed, and the last shot hit his torso. He saw me (support guy) and fired some Clark shells my general way (not good, I had 27 HP and I was a sniper.) I throw a nade right at him, he books it. I rush to the flag. He peeks (I have my pistol drawn). Boom. One shot. Dead. Headshot? Probably.

So entails my 15 minutes of headshot ability. The rest of the round, I got owned. I eventually switched to Baur out of frustration and retired at a respectable 38 - 11. Sniping is quite hard, I must say. Headshots come naturally to me with the Baur. But man, sniping is a whole different ball park.

Which is funny, because A) The problem I have with the Voss is not its damage (I dont want it to become useless), and B) I understand it does not kill in one hit. I dont understand your sudden hostility, what I had gathered in the previous Voss thread was that you and I both agreed to disagree and dropped it.

By the way, you seem really adamant about the description change idea. Something that would affect no one really. Its almost as if you are arguing for the sake of arguing. Either that, or a damage drop off decrease to something logical for a "light assault rifle".

And whos fault is that? I mention a commonly known fact, that the Krylov is better statswise than the SCAR, and you post for no reason other than to try to start an argument. And you did agree with me, except I said outright that the SCAR is worse. Not by much, but it is. You basically said "Its not THAT bad".
