BF2142 has no fear over Crysis

As you probably don't know, the beta was open for all of 10 seconds. I was told it was open, immediately went to get a key and I was already too slow. I did manage to download the file thinking they might release more keys later though. I also check FP daily to see if the Crysis beta or the FFoW beta have been opened up. After they generated some hype it went back to being closed again and it is still closed as of this writing.

all i can say to that is.. you were to slow... my clan mates downloaded it hours before they told me and it was still available when i tried so i dont know where your getting this 10 seconds stuff.. and as for me being stupid... whos got the beta and played it and who hasnt..

I agree with Fish, i heard the beta was open days before i actually applied, i was literally strolling through the internet when i thought maybe i will try it out. I still managed to get in maybe 2 or 3 days after the official release.

I'm glad you're having fun. I tried it for a couple of weeks and it just doesn't appeal to me for some reason. I can't quite put my finger on what the reason is. I mean it looks great, there's ground and air vehicles. Mutiple classes and teamwork sound good. I guess I don't like the objective system.

I like Battlefield games.

I like the objectives, gives you a point to the battle, i just hate the feeling of QW, it just doesnt feel as good as 2142, the vehicles feel too light, the guns feel terrible etc.
I think Crysis could be amazing, but it doesnt have the reliance on kits that makes 2142 good in terms of teamwork. If they incorporated a Voip system of some kind, or squads, then it would be good, but without medics it migth be redundant.

Here is a more appropriate answer... it's not the objective system, it's the lack of a squad system. It seems like there are a lot of people just running around and shooting. Some are on their 'missions' others are just running around trying to shoot anything. I can't seem to do either very well and it is frustrating. I've been betrayed by my own noobiness...

I find it difficult to get others to work together towards the common goal. I think that this game can really shine in a Campaign-based warfare environment, but I'm more frustrated than not when trying to pub this game.

I think I'm going to pass on this one for now and keep playing Team Fortress 2. COD4 and Crysis are releasing soon with F:FoW, Gears of War, Left4Dead to follow. Good times on the way...

Just deleted the crysis beta, hardly anyone ever plays it and i didnt exactly find it fun.

Fuels of War does look like a greta game but the same with ET:QW's it just isnt being advertised enough to get other people involved and let people actually know about the game.
