CoD 4, Crysis, CoH oppsding fronts, UT 3, Orange box, and Sup Com Forged Alliance are the big games im waiting for. Any one of these games is or will be better than all 3 halo's combined.

Yes I do agree Halo is a bit overrated, but its still a good game, great for parties.

( if i recall blood gulch == coagulation, battle creeek == beaver creek, and i sure there are more recycled maps)

It's a game for the typical console gamer.

Doesn't have to have any truly detailed and unbaised reports, as long as it's popular.

TBH, I think the media is afraid. To give Halo 3 anything less than 9 would piss people off because their precious Halo must certainly be the true incarnation of God and thus receive a score of infinity over 0, which is produces a doubly infinite quotient.

im agreeing that halo has been majorly over hyped. Halo 3 probly should shouldve been released as a different game, with a different story, totally apart from halo itself, since halo 3 seems to be the only one with any thought give to creativity, or originality. i havent played 3, but ive pplayed 1 and 2, and thought "wtf?? whats wrong with you people? this is a stereotypical shooter game!"

hmmm.... under-equipped, under dog humans... versus.... OOO! aliens! yeah, that sure hasnt been done before....
ooo! an assault rifle! wow, whata new and original weapon! and a shotgun! and a sniper rifle (which everyone told me was awesome, but once i had my hands on it, i thought 'its a sniper, the unique thing about it is the bigass smoke trail'... and yes, i do realize thats for balancing purposes.)
the most creative weapon even in the second game, was the needler.
the vehicles sucked too.

so, as far as ive seen, theprevioustwo are entirely uncreative, uninovative, and extremely over hyped.

and yeah, i agree that the medias afraid, since even right now im probly gonna get bitched at for saying halo sux.

However, the story is well thought of as there are even books on Halo. There are some cliches, but Halo is the first series with dual wielding weapons, and very smart AI. Graphics aren't half bad either.

yes it does becuase he said halo was first series but it was marathon. If he had said bungie was first to do dual wielding i wouldnt need to correct him.
