One thing to keep in mind is what you are getting with the server as well, in wolf servers price ingame voip is included, some gsp charge extra, also any server I believe $58 dollars or more gets a free Team Speak server as well, just something to think about, if your starting a clan these things may be important as well. I know with wolfservers battlerecorder is extra.

so i should pay over 100$ for wolf because they include team speak.. When MyIS is 40$ cheaper? I've seen teamspeak/vent servers for much less than 40$

I am not saying go with wolf just look around, I am not sure where u are getting ur prices, wolf is 2.50 a slot and my is 2 bucs, so a wolf 32 slot is 80 while my is 64, but like I said ingame voip is included and ts with a wolf 32 slot server, if voip and ingame is not included where you are looking there might now be as much a difference as you think, I don't see where your getting $40 cheaper?

We started with MyIS and they were great. We had a ranked 32 man server and they were always super quick with their support as Bommando has said. We changed when we wanted to go with a dedicated box and are now with Wolf and they provide excellent service as well. If you are going to go with a single server, I would probably start with MyIS and then if your clan does take off and you want to to a dedicated box I would switch to Wolf.

We are with Wolfservers now and it is by far the best change we have made GSP wise. They are excellent, quality product, great support, you really can't ask for anything more. I highly recommend them!

I've had atleast 10 servers running off our dedicated box and have yet to crack 50% total CPU usage, its a beast of a box.

Not if you have a dedicated box it doesn't. We have 2 64 BF2 servers, 2142 titan and 2142 NS and all run Battlerecorder.

Go dedicated server, forget any shared boxes/bandwidth, you won't look back. Remember you get what you pay for.

I told them, just like you said. If you aren't getting the finders fee let me know and I'll open a ticket with them. All they have to do is look back at the comments when I ordered and they'll see it in there. Should be quick and painless.

Basically it is where you can run multiple servers off of the same machine, limited by the CPU, memory, and bandwidth that you have. You can change the size of the servers, what games they are running, etc.

ahh that sounds like a pretty good deal.

Do you buy a dedicated box? or are they rented per month

better check again, I just rented a 32 slot server from wolf on friday and it is 80 bucs a month, ingame voip included as well as a free ts server. And this is my first server and they have been very helpful. I have put in 3 tickets and they were all answered within 30-40 minutes.

No, you rent them per month just like if you were renting a single server.

Personally, I would start with the single server, 32 man is a good size. If it is ranked, you need 6 people to start a 32 man server. 33+ you need 8 people to start it. Those 2 extra people is sometimes really hard to get. Keep the 32 man for a while and then if you feel you need something more you can slways drop the 32 man and go to a dedicated box. I know MyIS, Insomnia, and WolfServers are all on a month to month basis so no contract to tie you down. I believe the rest of the GSP's out there are the same way.

oh i have no doubt about getting a 32 man server, the part which im having trouble with is what GSP to pick from. I've heard nothing but good things for Wolf and MyIS
