What GSP should i go with?

I've been in the market for a BF2 or BF2142 ranked server lately, i've come into a steady stream of cash with lots to spare so i thought i'd make a project for myself.

My question is, which is your favorite or the best server provider for BF2142?
I've looked at afew, namely artofwarcentral.com and myinternetservice.com.

a 32 person ranked 2142 server at artofwarcentral costs 102$, whereas myinternetservice costs 64$ for that same server.

So why is there such a difference? does MIS provide sub par service? or less performance, or what.

While I haven't rented a Wolf Server, I know the clan, they are good guys. Been playing on their FH server for years.

Based on experience I'd say MyIS was the best of the GSP's we've been with.

We're about to try WOLF ourselves and I've heard great things from their customers, but I haven't had any dealings with them yet.

the MyIS website doesnt have much info in the way of support.. It mentions nothing about their game server details or spec's, no customer reviews, no info on why we should choose them. Like most server rental sites do..

So im alittle worried about them

Our comp team hosts our servers with MyIS and have found them to be outstanding. The support is some of the fastest and most efficient I've had. Every one of my tickets has been responded to by a real person within a couple of hours in off-peak times and within 30 mins at peak times.

Their techs are very helpful, patient and aren't looking to close your ticket while you still have questions.

Highly recommended.

TG hosts their two primary 2142 Ranked servers with Wolf and while I don't deal directly with their techs, the company as a whole has been very responsive to our needs and addressed any concerns we had to our satisfaction.

My guess is that:

A: They might buy in more volume.
B: They use Linux.

Linux is obviously cheaper to run and is only really a problem early in the lifecycle of some games. Developers sometimes are a bit slower to release and update Linux server binaries in the beginning, but soon catch up.

For example: Valve seem to be pretty even with their support for Win and Linux, but DICE would release some patches for Win before Linux.

I don't remember the difference. I do remember that very early in 2142, DICE released an important stability patch for Win before Linux, which in my mind is bad form. It's kinda lame to post such an important fix for one platform and leave others hanging. It wasn't long after though.

For the silly price of a ranked server im curious to know why you think it would be used given there is blatently more slots than players anyway.

Well i plan on starting up a clan with abunch of my buddies when i get back from basic training. And so i want to rent us a server for the clan, if not alot of people play on it then thats fine, ill cancel it after afew months of testing.
