EA Downloader, WTF only 6 months to redownload game unless you pay more money?!?!

Several people have asked this so far, including myself, how are we suposed to download and backup the .exe when NS is allready installed from ea link and EADM doesnt have it in the cache files.


We have to do something about this, if enough forum hype, with the help of gaming sites like ign/gamespot and others make an article about how much of a rippoff this is, then surely we can make a difference.

If EA have even the slightest hope of rivaling steam, then they need to stop being such greedy b@stards.

Guys don't let this fade, I want to here something from someone, EA/DICE. They cleared up other issues on this board and now this pops ups.

I don't know yet how to get it to redownload boosters or patches already on your computer but I have a few ideas. One would be in the right corner of each download there is an red "x" button, this removes temp files and brings back the option to redownload for me. Another thing in the settings you can actually change the default download location, helpful if you already have an external HDD or an archive directory you back up once in a while.

I will not be buying any more games threw ea downloader. I have my battlefield stuff backed up, but can't find my need for speed or Tiger woods golf setup files. If i paid for it i should have it when i want it.. BAD MOVE EA

For those looking and not finding the file in the cache, Simply rename your Battlefield 2142 folder to something else, then restart EADM. It will allow you to redownload it. Then back it up to disk and change the name back.

Example: Battlefield 2142_

Dice has nothing to do with the ea downloader. Dice makes the game ea sells it.
