Servers are out of control.

What is with the huge amount of servers that are banning and kicking players simply for being to good??

It seems to be happening constantly; you see a players at the top of the scoreboard and they get kicked for using foul language, although they never wrote or said anything, vehicle stealing although they weren't in a vehicle, and the extraordinarily high unsubstantiated allegations of hacking (what's up with that?), team-killing although nobody has seen it that person tk anybody, and the list goes on and on and on.

Seems that if somebody is repeatedly at the top of the scoreboard, they are at very high risk of being kicked or banned for a seemly limitless number of unwarranted and unsubstantiated reasons.

In 5 years of playing BF, I have never seen the community this bad. It's really no surprise that there are less than half the number of players playing BF2142 than there is playing BF2. Seems like in BF2142, there are a lot more young kids admining the servers.
Server admins need to smarten up before they kill the game completely.

It's happened to me recently(about a month ago). They say they had screen shots of me and a friend hacking. They were just angry because we had about 40 more points then the clan players in the server.

You just got to get used to it mate, when you have skill you will always be discriminated against, and people will try anything to put you down, but practically always fails.

Never had this problem myself, even though I've had some crazy good rounds. I guess it's because I tend to only play on well admined servers.

Unsubstantiated claims from random people != servers banning people for being too good. If you don't believe me then find today's post about BBUK banning for being too good (edit: actually you'll have to visit totalbf2 for that thread, I got confused ). You'll see that the player had black screenshots (could be related to a hack, could be a graphics driver issue) and so a ban until the issue is resolved is a completely legitimate reason for a ban.

Now if the kind of behavior you're ranting about is common on the servers where you play then it's time for you to find new servers....good servers do actually exist. If you believe everything you read from the people who complain here and are just rehashing it into your rant about servers then shame on you. Most people never post the full story and most servers never have the chance to defend themselves because they don't even know about the post.

Just find a couple good servers with good admins, the maps you like, & a nice ping for you. Make them your homes, and forget the rest.

Lots of admins are tools, but many more aren't.

Check the sig .... and ask the [HEL] guys, we dont kick when we get our asses handed to us. :laugh: We'll make sure its a hack before we ban people (checking PunksBusted MBL, PB Screenshots, etc ...)

Exactly. I have a Gold / Silver / Bronze for about 30% of the rounds I've played. Lately, I will score in the top 3 pretty much every round I play. Never had a single kick or ban from any server I played on in 500 hours.

If this happens to you, either you're playing on the wrong servers or there's something you're not telling us about your behaviour.

I have played quite a bit more than you and have been kicked loads of times and banned a handful. I have over 50% medal award positions in the rounds I've played.

I get accused of hacking all the time, although I do play on lots of different servers. To be fair, most accusations are not from server admins and I just laugh if off.

The problem is there are alot of cheaters out there. And unfortunately punkbuster only catches a small percentage of the hackers. For example today I was playing and picked up a kit from a guy I had killed. His anti-tank rocket shot two rounds every time without having to reload. Could have been a glitch but more than likely he was using a hack.

As long as there is excessive cheating admins will be extra suspicious of people that are too good. Thats the unfortunate side to to it. I'm sure there are alot of good players that get kicked though and some admins that abuse their powers.

Umm.... You know that the animation for the default rocket shows 4 rockets flying out, right? I've never heard of a hack staying with a kit... Be really interesting to see that.

That sounds exactly like the SAAW 86 AntiAir which is supposed to fire two rockets at a time...

I have had that experience. I picked up a kit after whoring the titan gun seats to defend the titan. Found it in our corridor from a dead attacker and it had APM mines in slots 5 AND 6.

Ironically..... I have never been banned from any servers ever. BF2 or BF2142. The only servers where I have been kicked by an admin (not to make room or for timing out) is a Timeless one (before I became a Timeless admin) when I restarted playing after a 6 month rest from the game. Theres funny for you.
