Excellent idea, I hope DICE will make this happen, but they can only be spotted outside of the titan, not in it as well.

Or they could be re-designed so that if you could get a good look at them you could tell if they were PAC or EU that would fix most problems.
Spotting could be useful but a lot of clutter, however an idea instead of minimap icons could just be a blue skull (if friendly) and if you spot an enemy one a red skull appears above it.

            I got an idea.

You know how sometimes there's that yellow skull symbol on the HUD right?

How about if someone spots a mine/sentry/apm, then a red mine/sentry/apm box lights up, a different one for each trap.

Only for people in a certain distance from the trap, like 20 meters from the apm, 60 meters for sentry, and 100 meters for MM.

I'd like all three to be spottable.
Sometimes I find myself hammering on the "Negative" button when a tank is coming my way full speed, but they wont understand anyway and disappear in the white flash of the 60 motion mines behind me.
              Same goes for APMs

I usually spam enemy spotted myself.

Maybe I should spot a walker. Most tank drivers try to stay away from them

i know this is pretty dang old but what if u could spot a mine with the pulse scanner but instead of diamonds showing up, it should be triangles for mines and squares for sentry guns

wont be possible, i tried doing it in my mod, the sentries are spottable after i added voice overs but if i want to do the same to mines i need to make a ''vehicle'' out of it and that wont work either.

i think sentries and mm's should be spottable, because how annoying they are, apm's would be useless when being spotted

irl you would spot mines to why not. maybe make mines only spotable with q leftclick so it takes some time and would block random discovery.

should not be spottable. Would add too much clutter to the mini map and would result in endless spamming from the commander or teammates.

However i do think they should add an "enemy mines" saying in the como rose.

should be done exactly as they did with goliath and speeder, not able to do through commrose but just point and click spotting
