Gold Collector's Badge (Finally)

I finally got it and i wasn't chicken sh!t about it, I didn't join a knife server. I've been putting off getting it but i finally decided today was the day i was going to get it and it only took 4 rounds.



I got it on Armory city maps (48 man server and it was full) I tried on the Sux2BU server but it crashed when i was at 13 tags and 70 tickets to go. I lost all those 13 tags (Piece of crap game) I probably got about 50 or 60 tags in about 5 rounds today :)

My advice for those trying to go get it themselves, use your cloak and pack the light armor. I can't believe how many times i was able to run near enemies and they didn't notice the huge buzzing sound (Thank god for ppl who don't pay attention to the sounds around them) Yup, just cloak and try to get behind enemy lines. I got this badge on tunis harbor and i barely made it because we were flag chasing, i got 2 tags in the last 30 secs of the round.

I almost got it on cerbera and the enemy was fighting for the church and the bottom flag on the right side. I even got a few tags from guys on their main base. 1 sniper got mad and started talking trash because i crouched thru his APMs he left right near the ladder. "No way you could of gotten thru those APMs" Well i did, lol

There's no real point to this thread other than giving my self kudos. We're running out of things to discuss about this game, so MEH

It feels good to accomplish a task such as this.

Now, I feel inclined to expend some energy on this task, too. I just got the camo upgrade unlock on my new soldier and hope to get my knife badges during the next couple of weeks.

This was my first gold badge. It's really not that hard. I got it when I was a a few ranks past one of the corporals(sp?). I mean, I didn't even know scorp when I got it...

Pistol gold should be harder, though I'm sure some would say it is easier than the knife badge.

It's a good achievement, especially for the guys who generally don't want to risk it with the knife. I too got it using the camo upgrade, makes it a lot easier to get around un-noticed, although it's a pain when you come up against a support who has the netbat diamond! Light armour is the way to go, if you're chasing someone and they're also sprinting you'll find you'd catch most as people are generally using heavy armour, but don't chase when there's lots of people around as you'll die before you get close enough to swipe!

Anyway you don't really need tips as you've now got it, but well done! It's a great feeling when you sneak behind enemy lines, climb to the top of a building, and there's 4 enemies facing the other direction, even better when you get every one of them with the knife..

Thank you for the congrats everyone. I rarely make it a mission to go tag chasing, i just run into the oppertunities. That's why i have only 15 dogtag badges, got 5 of them today.

I tried to get my pistol badge but FAILED. Only got 5 kills before i started getting OWNED over and over again. It's harder than the knife badge because knife kills are 1 swiff and the enemy is dead and there is no reloading to be done.

Heh the irony of it all, when I was trying to get my collectors gold it seemed impossible now it is like easy to get if i wanna go knifing always 18+ tags in a good round

Had a similar experience. When i was going for my silver i got about 19 kills and i was screaming about Why i didn't get my gold. Fouind out i was about 100+short. lol

Some people just have the timing down right for knifing and they make it seem so easy. Not too long ago I was in a squad on Camp G. and the squad was getting bored so they decided to go for a dogtag competition; they all ended up with at least 15+ tags before the round ended and the highest one was 27:shock: Of course I sat out on this one:shakehead:

GG Quemical. I got silver on one of my accounts using almost the opposite technique as you - Clark/Heavy Armour and IDS on Belgrade. :p But gold, meh. Doubt I could manage it.

got my silver one round and gold the next on a titan server playing with the support kit great fun, the shotty comes in handy for those who prove too hard.

pistol badge would be a bit harder i think haven't tried that yet, the game is a bit tedious of late but nothing is more hilarious than people running away from you when they realise your rolling through everyone with the knife.

Grats on the gold, last night I picked up 17 knife kills in a round, but that only took me to the 150 required knife kills, sucks to have to do it again >_>
