Will repairing a sentry gun get you a repair point?

I saw a guy repairing a sentry gun, it was an odd sight because i had never seen anyone else do it.

Tried it but did not get any repair points, the unit was smoking so I guess it's not worth it

I thought nipers don't have repair tools

My playmate (hmmm. isn't that the word used for a guy you play frequently with ) does all these little things most people won't bother to do... like repair sentrys and FAVs (most people only bother repairing armoured vehicles etc.) but these little things make alot of difference sometimes. Like a FAV with full health can usually survive a Rosch/Pilum shot so that you still have time to rescue yourself... a FAV with 85% health can't

So to put it short, i've seen this but i'm not sure if it's often worth it (if the support guy is around, he could pick it up and replace it with a full health one in 3 secs) :)

I would be surprised if repairing one sentry gave you a whole repair point, it might take 3 or 4 if it gives any points.

But personally I think it is a waste, you are exposing yourself while doing it, and it might disappear any second anyway, if the owner dies or redeploys it somewhere else.

I play other kits too u know...

I have played this game bit over 600 hours. 422 hours of them as a Recon(293 with Zeller)..

So it leaves 178 hours to other kits...

So many things i didnt know you could repair hehe. Seems a shame you dont get any credit for doing it though.

I think you get points for repairing all sort of things. Rorsch's, Supply Crates, Sentrys etc... But you probably have to repair lots of them to get any points. Oh, you can also repair the red boxes that can explode.

You will get a point for repairing anything within a squad order radius.

You know I've never been able to repair a supply crate. Whenever I try it doesn't seem to do anything. No repair status bar, or graphics that the gun is even doing anything.
