I switched back to BF2, 2142 was getting boring. Can't believe how much I missed the weapon sounds and Karkand.

PR is a LOT of fun, it's very realistic but the community is incrdibly hostile vs new players o.0 I was a asniper (and being able to snipe targets at 700m, AWESOME) and everyone was yelling at me cos I was doing this and that wrong, when I asked them "Would you like some whine with that?!" they replied with"drop dead nub". I then proceeded to do some fine sniping ignoring my team.

I don't understand what ppl expects you to do if you are sniper. Run in CQC with sniper rifle??

From the videos what i watched, the Super Cobra seems really promising..

Two good points for BF2: Point of Existence 2 (PoE2) and Project Reality (PR).

Both are excellent mods with features remarkably better than vanilla.

I had read most of the post in this thread & haven't seen the main reason that I like 2142 better then BF2.

If someone would play just casually & not many hours a week. It would take 10+ yrs to get all the unlocks in BF2. The ranking unlock system was SOOOOOO rediculous.

Also I have encountered MANY more idiots in BF2 then in 2142. Half the team would stand around killing each other on the tarmacs waiting for a jet or heli instead of helping the team. Mine Mine Mine Mine Mine Mine!!!!!

whichever one you played first, will be the one you like, im not a big bf2 fan, but if I have time I play it on occasion, but its cheap, so I might pick it up, but if you want to appreciate it, give it time.

It really takes ages to get the unlocks. Im still missing quite few of them.

But that Jet/helo wait. It's kinda funny to see 10 dudes waiting for heli/jet and trying to get to the "spot" to get it. But in the other hand it's really stupid. Thankfully i haven't been into that Jet/Heli thing ever. I rather take the tank/fav next to the airfield...
