    Yep ^^

I've never really had any problems with titan lag, I've got a nVidia GeForce 7500 LE 128 mb graphics card and I can play on medium settings no problems there. And that card is pretty crappy Titan lag has been reduced a lot in the latest patches too.

BF2142 is the best Battlefield game ever. Really. It's much less buggy than any of the other BF games and it has the least statpadders/glitchers actually. Best FPS ever actually too.

The NS maps wasn't liked by many people casue people like infantry maps more, personally I love them and infantry maps too.

2142 is practically the only game I have put so much time into. Apart from Oblivion, which requires you to, 2142 has also been the only game that I pre-ordered and played continuously.

My interest in the game has been deteriorating, due to the poor patch 1.4 updates etc.
It is by far a great game. But just not enough variety to actually play it over and over. Linear maps such as Camp G and Berlin are played over and over, and others are not prefered. Making the game boring. Ultimately, its the servers that are killing the game. Not just the game and its developer itselg.

I don't have Northern Strike, because you can only down load it. If I could run down to the store and get it - I'd do it right now.

I think 2142 is far superior to vanilla BF2, and a little better than special forces. I hated the jet whores in BF2 - an uber weapon that could not really be killed. Special forces has good maps and grappling hooks.

I also like the guns better in 2142, the random cone of fire in BF2 made for more luck than skill in a lot of situation (I did like the AK101, though). I also think the variety of the kits in BF2142 makes things more interesting - as well as the combining of the AT and engineer class.

I've not looked at server counts - nor did the original poster back up his claim - but are there really more BF2 players than BF2142 players?

Gotta agree with most of you here. I know that bf2142 will end up like battlefield vietnam. Too bad though because I LOVE this game. I play this almost every day for an hour or 2

Good thing I got battlefield 2. Good thing theres project reality. But its sad to let battlefield 2142 go

Meh, it's died for me a month ago.

Just lurking your forums still, playing my not-dead CS:S.

Jets are definately overpowered.. which is why I refuse to play jet maps. I only play Sharqi, Mashtuur, Songhua (16 man version), Karkand, Warlord, Ghost Town and every now and then another map. SF has some GREAT maps, very well designed, how they did make Camp crap out of Warlord/ghost town?

I hate the guns in 2142. They look nice, some of them sound nice, but the shooting part is way to easy. Especially with guns like the Voss, LMG and HMG all one has to do is scope and spray. The ak is one of the easiest weapons in bf2 :P I myself like the ak74U and the M16, because they own in single shot (shame on you evil sucky m4a1). The Baur is the only hard gun in 2142 (Sniper Rifles are so easy in 2142. I like the scope though). And I seriously, SERIOUSLY don't understand what the hell the PK rocket is doing in a game like 2142!! "Let's make an easy spammable weapon with loads of ammo that can kill targets that are ont he move, behind cover, or running away. Oh it also needs splash damage in case one needs to mow down half a squad". Right!

Man, the way some of you guys talk it's as if the game's on its deathbed or something.

It's still in the top bracket of multiplayer games with regards to popularity, there're always loads of servers, and also loads of players on them; it's never difficult to find a game, and there's certainly more opportunity for variety in gameplay than there ever was in BF2 thanks to the soldier customisation.

By the time the game's popularity seriously wanes to the point where it's difficult to find a game, I'll be very surprised if a new Battlefield game hasn't come along which totally bowls us over yet again.

Of course, in future years people will look back at BF2142 and not differentiate it too much from BF2; after all, it is essentially just a very elaborate mod with high production values, albeit with more engine tweaking than most mods get. Similarly to how Vietnam is kind of tied to BF1942 in most people's memories, as pointed out above (and hence why BF2 was called BF2 and not BF3).

Enjoy it while it lasts, and look forward to the inevitable BF3. It has to come eventually, and when it does you'll probably never want to go back to BF2 or BF2142. After all, how many people really go back to BF1942 these days?

Too easy? The same can be said for BF2's "voss", the G36c which is exactly like the voss in every way, apart from the fact that BF2 vossers have to instantly prone when they see you before hosing you down. As for the PK rockets, they are harder to use than the noobtoob was,and still is, in bf2.

I have 1723.85 h playing time in BF2 and I have 951.60 h playing time of BF2142. Only I can say that I enjoy in BF2142 just I was enjoy in BF2 but when some new game come is time to move to something new and different. My clan and me hardly wait for new Battlefield but if don't come we will play Frontlines: Fuel of War http://www.frontlinesgame.com/ . So just I say I have BF2 in good memory but I dont wanna go back I wanna go foward:) Clan mates and me try Enemy Territory: Quake Wars beta and we dont like the game, game its too fast like quake arena, grafics in BF2142 look much better and that is not game for our taste. Maybe we play too much time in Battlefield franchise.:))

Except for the fact that the C needs a crapload of bullets to kill something and it is not the best choice for CQC. The kit with BF2's "Voss" also hasn't got any body armour, making this kit more fragile. And with the C you needn't instaprone to kill an enemy; the C's performance is almost unaffected by your stance. The Voss deals more damage, has a higer Rof, and has a bigger clip. You can also carry heals, a shotgun and the bitchy rockets, whereas in BF2 you have C4. I think the Voss is OP and the C is nicely balanced. Max accuracy for low damage and poor CQC abilities. Voss: high accuracy with high damage and very good CQC possibilities and overall very good performance at any range. Exactly the same?

As for the noobtoob, the thing comes without a healpack, meaning that you have to take a risk using it. If someone gets the jump on je you have to kill him with the tube, or else you'll be insta cannon fodder. You only get 4 of them (or was it 5?), they are slow, travel in an arc, making them hard to use for any ranged kill.
The PK rockets do not travel in an arc, you get 4 of them, they are FAST, and you get about 20 of them. When you miss one shot you can always just ajust your aim since you get 4 of them. I think the GL is a lot more harder to use then the PK rockets, but at least you can use a flashbang and a GL at the same time, which is really badass.
