Yeah I prefer to have auto reload as well but if I know I am going to be using the SAAW allot in a game I will turn it off.

up to you. but here's a tip:
after you fire, for your missle to track properly all you need to keep the target in the middle of your screen. this can include while reloading. this was verified by a DICE member on this forum, so i'm not making this up. your hit % will go up a bit!
roadloading has the advantage of firing a second salvo if needed. but, hey man... do what works best for YOU!
yet another tip: after i shoot my two rockets, i immediatly spot the aircraft. this has two advantages: 1. it lets my team know where they are. 2. if they fly out of my visual range, i can look at the minimap and see where they are and make sure i keep my screen's middle facing that way. you won't hit often this way, but you will up your chances of a hit. otherwise, if they turn... you don't know where to look to keep them centered in your screen.Comment

Yeah I sometimes need that second salvo but I seem to lose track of the chopper during the reload animation so I do better if I keep tracking until the first salvo hits I find that I can keep tracking them that way long after they have disappeared from view. Also yea spotting is great cause if I did not kill them on the first pass usually I can find them soon after and finish the job. I knew you could still track by keeping them in the middle of the screen but I did lousy that way.

SAAW is also more effective on Verdun and snowy mapes i find, because pilots looking behind then cannot see the missile very clearly, soloers can switch seats which sometimes works otherwise when im on a map like Suez my spider senses shall tell me i got a SAAW coming, because of the stupid beeping for the past hour, i just change to rear view, wait for the missile to come right up to me and just raise the Active defense
Otherwise the SAAW is very useful, particularly now because it finally works on transports woooO!Comment
