Mostly action screenshots (dial up users beware)

I'm assuming screenshots don't *have* to go into the screenshots thread?

Anyway, I'm a bit new at this... so I hope you guys aren't too critical. :) Thanks. ... yes, they were taken mostly from the same battle, but I was a bit short on time.

I come from the Flight Simulator world where screenshots are works of art. (And also where you warn dial up users of large image files in the thread title.) I'm also a photographer in real life (yeah, I have one - www.finerpixels.com, in the works) so I consider this an art too. They may not be "funny," "awesome," or "unique" - they are things you see every day when you play, but they still require skill to capture in a way that makes people think "Wow, that's cool" or somethin.

Anyway, enjoy... I'll get better at this as time goes on. I promise. :dead:

What's up with this guy's pose, is he dancing? I mean, he's getting shot:

Everyone is using active defense - the battle comes to a momentary standstill!

    Look at this stud....

Ever wonder what's under the EU's visors?

At this point, something glitched and everybody and everything stopped... except this walker... it just kept going... and going... and going... past the map boundaries. It never stopped. I had to exit.

Comments? Praises? Flames (hopefully not...) - thanks

Awesome shots! Though the name tags kinda annoy me, I think renderer.drawhud 0 will get rid of them. The first one would be so much cooler if EA put in the bullet casings from the guns!

And the "Look at this stud...." one should be a wallpaper!

Some very good shots there, do you mind if I use one or two of them in a sig or wallpaper?

I checked out your website, did you make that? I understand and congratulate you in the wisdom of using Firefox but don't you think you are losing viewers by only allowing your site to be seen in Firefox browser? Just a suggestion.

        Keep up the good work!

Interesting; didn't know that console command existed. I'll do that in the future and see if it works. And yes, I wish EA included bullet casings flying out of the guns...

Yeah, that's fine. If in a sig, a small credit line "Thanks DorranKame" or something would be appreciated.

Yeah, it's 100% coded by yours truly. EDIT: Fixed

Will do - I'll try to recreate some of those "Look at that stud" pictures without the name titles.

Yeah, it's as high as the game will let it go.

Alright, just got another round of screenshots done, focusing mostly on the "Studliness" theme portrayed above, but without the name labels I'll put them up shortly.

Just a tip, as a photographer.

When trying to get a focus, on two objects, try to make sure they both fit into the frame (ie, their whole body etc is visible).

                Gives a depthy effect.

While true, it may not always be the effect you're trying to achieve. Battle Recorder is great because I can try as many angles as I want, a nice little feature.

Alrighty, I've got another "stud" photo without name labels: http://bf2142.totalgamingnetwork.com...ad.php?t=26575

When I get organized... more comin' soon. I enjoy sharing these.

No the command renderer.drawhud 0 won't get rid of name tags. Sadly there's no 100% way to get rid of tags. That command gets rid of all of the stuff on the screen (the map, crosshair and other stuff.)

To get rid of the flags and thrown objects (medic kit and ammo kit icons) press the left Alt button.

I found it easier to just take pictures of enemies then teammates because of the need to constantly edit the name tags out.

                      Here's a sample of what I've done.

@above, that's some good screenshot work. I esp. like the 4th and 5th ones.

I found out how to avoid name tags in battle recorder playbacks. As you know, pressing spacebar switches focus to the next player.

Until I pressed spacebar the first time, no name titles appeared... if you can avoid pressing space during playback, they shouldn't appear by default. Anyway, they didn't for me. I have another set of screenshots comin' up that can prove this.
