Ganz Firepower

OK, I've done a search and cant find anything related, basically i was flicking through the 2142 strategy guide in a shop earlier today, and it claimed that the Ganz was capable of hitting infantry behind "soft" cover.

Do any of you guys have any knowledge of this? if so then what kind of cover is soft cover?

I have got the 2142 strategy guide and it does indeed say that.


I assumed it refered to things like very thin sheets of metal, or wooden boxes.


But infact the ganz cant hit you thru anything that any other weapon cant.

They probably copied that section straight from the PKM part in BF2.

Thats a fair comment, and most likely true.

I thought it was odd when i read it, it would be a pretty big feature for the the Ganz and someone would have said something by now.

Maybe it means the splash damage like the Walker does? I don't use the Ganz, never had, so don't quote me on that.

Lol can you honestly tell me the point of a strategy guide for a BF game lol, it's not like your playing something like Final Fantasy or Metal Gear Solid

yeah its true;some of the cover on the side of the walkways in camp gib is soft.I bought the strategy guide about a year ago becoz I sucked so badly at the game;it is mainly full of rubbish but has a comprehensive awards section and other useful titbits....

Lol flesh shields. I love doing that. Go behind a friendly when your under fire let the finish his clip on him, then hes all yours.

In BF2 you were able to penatrate corrugated iron fences/panels with certian weapons, to my knowledge you cant shoot through anything in 2142.
