What to play; Advice and suggestions needed.

I'm out of games to play. 2142 multiplayer (single player is fine) crashes every round so I'm bit fed up with it. So I'm looking for greener pastures now.

A FPS is the genre I'm looking into first since I don't have too much time on my hands.

I will settle for little older game suggestions also so keep them coming. The only limitation is that it has be good.

I've played recently:

STALKER
Company of Heroes
HL2 with episodes
Call of Dutys (gonna get the version 4 when it's due)

Splinter Cell 4 is a possibility. I've played all the earlier ones so is 4 worth getting?

I believe you can play Planetside for free now (with a level cap), so that might be worth a try.

How about the Medal of Honour series?
A bit older than COD, but much alike.

Medal of Honour: Pacific Assault had a decent enough singleplayer if you played without crosshair.

Oblivion is sort of a FPS. Any way definatley recommend. I have 76 hours and am only now starting main quest.

Bleh, Oblivion is HUGE.

I am like 94% complete... with 180 hours.

I've done medal of honour series except the pacific part. Maybe that's the next one.

And also played oblivion long enough to see it's colors.

Supreme Commander. With the new expansion coming out thats gonna be alot of fun. Also the CoH expansion will be coming out.
