Playing people without the expanshion?

Is it possible to play with pepole who do not have norther strike, and only the original 2142 ( fully updated of course) when you are running northern strike?

Short Answer: Yes.

Long Answer: Yes, you may play with them on the default maps, but they cannot play on the NS maps. Both you and them have access to the NS Unlocks, but only you are capable of getting them through Unlock points instead of just Field Upgrades.

Just to interject.....
Sometimes it's fun playing against people who don't have the NS pack. I don't know how many WTF??s I've gotten from people when using the Motion Mine Bait, or RDX shotgun, or Sniper Decoy. It's quite amusing.

Meh, just get the expansion, and thank me later. Some fun maps, and cool unlocks. Worth $10. $15, maybe. $20, nah. But for $10, WTF, jes' do it. I use the IDS *all* the time as support, and MMB, extra PK rockets, and extended active camo are all unlocks worth having.
