I take the sonar when I attack so I can stick it to my tank or apc, and use the EMP mines when I'm defending. You can find your K/D with Motion mines here

You don't need to set them all out just 2 hidden mines and one EMP mine to guide them into the kill. Do that at each entrance and your set. People are not as scared of EMP mines thats why this works so well.

I play mostly with engineer kit so motion mine laying is my routine. Even when I piloting a vehicle. I always put mines in area where I intend to combat. It gives me a small advantage. Especially in situations when things was gone wrong and you have to retreat.

you gotta put motion mines 1. a blind spots, 2. behind things that can conceal it when it floats up when activated or 3. in choke points.

          Examples:

          1. put them around the corner when youre going through toll from harbor on camp B when going under the 2nd walkway

          2. put them behind trees and wooden fences and other things that are tall that can block view of them

          3. the 2 paths at toll on camp b

i always put my mines allover the place, often if um sat in the back of a buggy i just throw all five of em out the back in random places, you get a fair few kills from doing that too

I once had a great round and celebrated with a mini-cigar that was fun....

I found out a great place, Its the silo in the bottom left of the map, there is a patch of very long grass, and right near that is the ent. to the little area to the silo, i just put them there because you can't see them and you have to drive by them in a vehicle in order to capture the silo.

I'll put pic's up tomorrow, im sleepy

i take motion mines with me when i go tanking, and setup a nice spot to ambush. Then i use the tank to get the walkers attention and lure it in. Most drivers expect to find motion mines on silos or around them but not out in the middle of no where or when they are moving in to engage an enemy. When they trip them off, they either stay stationary and allow you to pound them from afar or they can keep moving and blow themselves up.

On Tunis Harbour, I use EMP mines and motion mines together to stop FAVs from driving past and capping our back points or stealing walkers. Occasionally I stop carbombers and that is a big plus for me since I hate them with passion. My favourite trick is putting them on bends so if EMP freezes their turning controls, they go straight into a wall or obstacle. Then your motion mines can catch up to them and blow them up. Otherwise i put them on long narrow straights, EMP mines generously spaced out to accomodate the FAV momentum and to keep it EMPed for as long as possible. Most victims bail when they trigger both motion mines and emp mines. So bring a friend or have your smg ready to put them down.

if the enemy is on one side of the wall and your on the other, you can kill them with motionmines without they r in vehicule
just throw some over the wall and then throw a nade that attract the mines on your side of the wall
                  the mines will explode

a good driver can speed through any mines on gibraltar anywhere up to command center. unless you put emp mines down, which somehow make the motion mines go off instantly...

I don't know if this has been said before, but motion mine bait can be your best firend, TO YOUR OWN MINES

I usually lay my pile out on the side of a building *like near the canal near lepzig for example* and when a walker approaches I throw the grenade, then motion mines are then drawn to ther percise location.
