Just to be a bit more clear the 'buddy request thingy' can be found on the left hand side of the screen when you first login as a soldier. You will see Buddy List and at the bottom a seach box, just enter the name of the person you want to invite to your buddy list.

I don't think there is anything quite as rewarding as being in a cohesive squad that knows what they're doing. Too bad it doesn't happen to me all that often.

I tried to do this a few months ago and had mild success. The problem wasnt getting ppl on my buddy list. The problem was actually playing with the ppl on my buddy list. At one point i had about 70 ppl on my list. Out of all those ppl i would normaly find only 3 online at the time. Out of the 3 only 1 would join the server and my squad. Only 1 time i had 2 ppl of my list on my squad. So you have to make it clear where u are at so u dont have high pings. What type of servers u like. Because i love big servers alot of ppl wouldnt stick around because they love small servers or they didnt like playing conquest. So if i were making a thread like this again. I would do it like this. "im looking for team players on the west coast. I play mostly 48 & 64 man coquest. im a regular at the texas teamplayers server and armory city maps. On ocassions i join ns maps only servers. If it sounds good to u add Quemical to ur buddy list" best of luck finding good teamates

I live in Florida and play servers all over the world (I have yet to have problems playing anywhere, east coast west coast, europe, asia, australia -- I guess it helps having a 12 Mbps cablemodem connection ), but prefer US servers for squad play (just because I only know English for voip)


I typically only play in the mornings before work though (6am ET)

I had a bad experience at tactical gamers once. My team had 3 squads, i joined squad 1; no orders. I join squad 2 and 3, same thing. So i decide to make a squad named "orders". At the time i joined the server my team was getting owned and had only the uncap. So after i make my squad i break thru and get to an outpost in the back. My comander gives me the order to atack the flag im near and i accept. As soon as i neutrilized the outpost i got kicked for having a small squad. I was p1ssed. They booted me but not the other dud SLs. They could of told me to merge with another squad. I was the only one on that n00b team, that was actually being tactical. I have played a few rounds there after but That really left a bad taste in my mouth.

thank you to everyone who replied ;I had a round with blade eagle and ezekiel - which was quite a good laff;I dont know if they realised I was from the forums though ( they had a good squad going which stuck together)I don't normally play camp gib but I could probably be swayed - I'll add all of you to my buddy list and try to play with everyone sometime...although TG have a reputation for being technically very good they can also be quite 'stuffy' which reduces the fun factor; at the end of the day it is only a game - their forums are however v.good , especially for tech problems.
