Should transporter shields protect you from titan aa guns?

They are pretty fine as is.

They got nerfed like 2 patches ago and any decent pilot can land without much effort.

They've never been nerfed, you need to quit making things up when you post Biotech.

no. if it does what's the point of the AA?
that said the shield should weaken the effects of the bullets, maybe by a quarter or something. so the shield can be used as a last resort.
and i really think the AA should have an overheat. make it take very long to overheat, and then take very long to cool down too. ie 30 seconds of continuous firing to overheat, and 20s of cooldown. rationale is to counter the players who fidn it fun to aim the AA at enemy titan hangar shields and lag the hell out of everyone, while allowing the AA to do what it's supposed to do.

Nah leave it as it is, they are easily avoided by just flying below it, the AA guns theoretically should be able to completely cover the back of the titan (but this would be stupid cos they would be so overpowered)

i know they are, i just can't stand the tars who make it their life's mission to lag the hell out of everyone by shooting at the transport shields. and if you want to argue,it could technically be considered a form of spawncamping =D
what i proposed would not affect the killing power of titan AA against transports, but stop those who fire at nothing continuously.

i also want the aa guns to overheat. no reason y the ones on the ground can overheat and the ones on the titan cant.

Titan AA was nerfed once and I stand on this by expertise.

If I am wrong, I expect to be corrected.

If you are looking at past patch release notes, Dice don't write down every single thing they fix, tweak or change.

                    *Yawn*

venny, I know about changes in ground AA. The nerf was before the current patch was released.

I will give some details about what was changed:

                    1. Damage reduced over distance and no damage after 300 meters.
                    2. Fast moving gunships are harder to hit

If my memory serves well, those changes were made on the patch that fixed the titan drop exploit.

Dice never wrote those changes but I can tell because I was titan AA whore (my 3rd most used vehicle in game).

You are incorrect sir. The "GROUND" AA changes where from the last patch. Not the patch that fixed the titan drop exploit (which was from before that). Notice something else... it was the GROUND units they changed. Not the titan AA guns... there was no change to the titan AA guns whatsoever since release of the game.

The shield for every vehicle protects you from missiles, but not from bullets. The AA guns are pretty much rail guns -- hence the no over heating issue.

As I said I know about ground AA changes and I mean titan AA....and they were "tweaked" (nerfed) once but I don't remember the exact version.

Wanna test? Try killing fast moving and far away vehicles with titan AA on earlier versions. You could hit and kill them from very far with a zero bullet travel time effect and deplete their armor fast BEYOND the visually foggy area. Now try it with 1.25 and find how "weak" they have become and they start to register impacts when they are 300 meters or closer.

How can I be so sure? Because when I was on beta, I made my mind in achieving commander + AA related awards first so I started to play as titan commander in titan AA from day 0. If you take a look at my stats, I spent more time in titan AA than any other vehicle in the game except for gunship.

I back my words from time and expertise in titan AA.

I must mention that the right word is "tweaked" and not "nerfed" to avoid misunderstandings.

No...what is the point of titan AA then? Protect the titan from the gunship landing on it?
