"For every problem, there is one solution which is simple, neat and wrong"
Debugging isn't always as easy as looking at the code and say "Oh, right, stupid mistake".
This is not a bugfix patch, but a content patch, so there is no reason to rush it.Comment

You guys are getting it all wrong i dont want them to tell me when the patch is going to be released and everything about it. I just want them to treat it with open arms more and perhaps give us some info on how the patch is going and what little features they are working on to make the patch better.
Stop treating it like it should all be top secret info.Comment

Oh sorry, didn't know it took a month to code in one feature that should have been in there from the start.Comment

You mean the kit saving?
I doubt that it is the cause of the server crashes, since it is clientside.
It is easy enough to say that they should just fix their crap, but obviously that is not as easy as you think.
Every manhour they spend on debugging the patch is money wasted, so I don't see what they have to gain by delaying the patch needlessly.
On the contrary the sooner they can stop working on it the better for them.
I too would appreciate some more feedback on the progress, but we wouldn't get the patch sooner anyway.Comment

Yeah i read it. I just hope it would be "drag and drop" kinda thing with these SL abilities, so you could take them out from the kit too.
I don't know if it's just me or is there someone else. But i hate it when i stop being SL and i still have that beacon hanging in my kit...Comment

Bold statement is still making me laugh.
more time de-bugginga piece of code going into the public is wasted money.
I do hope i wont see any posts made by this person complaining about bugs in this game. because spending time to try and get rid of them [debugging] is a waste of money. LOL
funny stuff. Ive heard it allComment

Obviously ya'll know nothing about public relations. They might not earn any money directly by providing us with patches and content updates, but they will by the customers they keep and the future paid content we buy because the product is good. And, for the most part.. no one is having major bugs with 1.4, so they've done a good job thus far. I hate to burst peoples bubbles, (not really), but theres no dev team in the world thats going to be able to get a game or any piece of software running completely bug free. Do any of you know of the F-22 raptor? The new stealth fighter the airforce is fielding? That flew over the international date line for the first time and all of its main systems completely shut down and they were effectively flying blind because of a simple error. People could've died. Do you think the pilots are sitting there moaning about a patch? Luckily they were near a tanker.Comment

Thats because you don't understand software development.Bold statement is still making me laugh.

Its wasted money because it shouldn't be necessary and is very likely outside the project budget.
When you allocate resources for a project, you think of design, implementation, QC and fixing the few bugs that might appear in QC.
However if your project ends up using more time on debugging than intended then you are wasting money because you are spending extra resources without creating anything extra.
This is necessary but is still wasted money because it wouldn't have been necessary had the project been done properly.
So the point is that EA has no incentive to delay the patch because it is costing them money to work on it, without generating any additional revenue.
That goes double for a patch that is free and not vital for the game.Comment

I know that the game wasn't tested for Vista, but it would be nice if they could fix the memory addressing bug in Vista. I can't play Titan mode anymore.
I've tried the 3Gb enabler doodar to no avail.

I don't think anyone mentioned this, but with the new kit save feature it automatically switches to light body armor every time and you need to switch it to heavy body armor every time. Just one problem I've had with the new feature.Comment
