We don't want another 1.05 disaster to happen again.
For those who don't know or remember. When patch 1.05 came out all servers who were running titan mode with more than 1 round per map, were crashing to desktop. It was chaos, the EA forums were flooded with complaints. It was quite funny.Comment

this is what annoys me, why should it have to be a secret? Whats so special about the patches that mean we are not allowed to know when they are released?Comment

We dont need a timeline, just to know how things are progressing within the patch, at the moment they treat it like some top secret military operation that if leaked could destroy the world. I have a lot of respect for the people at Dice but i just dont see why they keep so much about patch updates from the community.Comment

Don't people here usually moan at EA´s poor QC and admire companies that says "Its done when its done"?We dont need a timeline, just to know how things are progressing within the patch, at the moment they treat it like some top secret military operation that if leaked could destroy the world. So I think we should be happy that they appear to have chosen the safe way this time. And maybe they don't know how to fix the bugs yet, so they are not able to give a timeline?
No timeline hopefully means no rush job this time.Comment

Its a patch, game-breaking bugs and glitches shouldnt exist. How many patches have you downloaded for other games that messes up the game on a fundamental level (crashing clients/servers)? We shouldn't have to say "Oh well, I guess we will have to wait so that DICE doesnt accidently write in some code that crashes the game ever 10 minutes".Don't people here usually moan at EA´s poor QC and admire companies that says "Its done when its done"?

I like DICE and all, but come on people. Dont tell me to wait "until it is done" for patches, of all things.Comment

Do you want them to do it properly, or do you want it NOW NOW NOW?
You cant have your cake and eat it too.
Of course a patch shouldn't break anything, and that is why it isn't released before they have fixed all the bugs (I hope).Comment
