1.40 question/suggestions

aside from the server crash problem we are all having the patch is shaping up to be a good one. anyhow i got a question, whats that little box on the top left?

now for the suggestions:

1) FIX TITAN LAG PLZ OMG!

2) unbound controls: every time i start the game i have to go into controls and rebind forward to mouse2. in battlefield 2 i didnt have to do this. its quite annoying!

Apparantly, shooting at the shields with titan AA guns cause lag or something? I'm sure that could be an easy fix

the control thing has been around since the game was released and they've never bothered to fix it so I doubt it ever will :P

titan lag happens for me no matter what happens. in a perfect scenario where:
-no titan has been moved
-nobody has touched the aa below any titan
i still get plenty of titan lag, hell i get titan lag when i first spawn at the begining of the round most of the time, yet i get no lag on any other part of the battlefield.

as for the control thing, what kind of answer is that, ofcource they wont fix it if nobody makes any noise about it.

I have pretty bad titan lag on my system, but my friend can play it seamlessly 99% of the time... he also has twice as much RAM as me so... the only logical explanation would be to blame three headed monkeys...

I think the same things, but alot of servers allow the titans to be moved so naturally people move them. I lag so badly when the titans are near that I can't play even though I have a ping of <25ms.

you guys gotta remember when you go into/near a titan, your gpu loads alllllll the textures(walls, people, etc.) for the titan.

if you get OMG LAGZZOR@!@11 try tuning your gfx for your system or live with the loading lag.

theres a great tweaking guide that im too apathetic to link, but it around here somewhere....

well i do need more ram, its very true. but if i can play 2142, i should be able to play 2142 titans.

After reading the 1.40 Beta Release Notes there are not really any new fixes.

-Fix the CTD issues
-Lag issues

you guys gotta remember when you go into/near a titan, your gpu loads alllllll the textures(walls, people, etc.) for the titan.

if you get OMG LAGZZOR@!@11 try tuning your gfx for your system or live with the loading lag.

theres a great tweaking guide that im too apathetic to link, but it around here somewhere....
