i've already been using the clark, so it's like abonus for me xD
So who among you are going to convert to Clarkianity after 1.4?

Jaffa Prod, pouge ma hone!
Too strong? If it was too strong you'd see a glut of Clark users; which you don't, I'm often (even on Camp-G) one of only 3 or 4.
Clark + pulse meter + ISD = equals seeing through walls and shooting fools in the back... FTW!
I second that; Ganz requires way too much control to be a noob canon. You can't shoot on the move for a damn, nor can you really shoot from a knelt position. Add to this the fact that the gun sprays wildly for the first few rounds until it settles... I'm not saying it's uber leet or anything, but most defiantly not a noob gun.
I don't believe so; sure for the first few weeks it'll be a new toy, but after that people will just go with what they're already used to, and then you'll just be getting owned by the same Clarkians that already own you...

Which is exactly why the game has the Voss

I'd agree with that. Honestly, especially after reading the responses in this thread, I doubt we'll really see too many more Clarkers than we see now. How many people do you see using the Herzog as it is right now? Plus, since you're still the support kit you won't be able to heal yourself or revive teammates, you won't have the PK rockets, and you'll still have no long-range weapon so I'm going to guess this change will still only benefit those who already use the Clark frequently. In the last week (I've kind of kept track), I've only died 8 times to the Clark in just over 10h playing nothing but city maps. The Voss, for comparison, has gotten me over 130 times. That number would be a bit lower if I would have been able to get off a second shot a couple of times, though...
So, in short, I'm going to predict that the change won't bring any noticable increase in Clark users, it will just make those who use it already that much more potent in CQC.

Oh man, please, stop. A self-confessed Voss user saying the Clarke is/will be unfair, then going on to talking about noob-friendly weapons.:|::|::|::|::|:
The clark shotgun is already powerful enough...if it fires faster...then camp gibrawatever will be screwed.
Not to mention the titan.
:|::|::|::|::|:
noob friednly guns make the game accesible for the people who HONESTLY (this isnt an insult to anyone) suck at aiming....not eveyrone is a hardcore gamer.
The irony, I CANT STAND IT. :shock:Comment

Interesting enough I have managed two get two shotgun pins in the last few days, which I have never been able to do before. I suspect that it may have something to do with all the kids on vacation, but I think I will like the Clark even more after the patch even though it can be very unpredictable.
But if there is a Clark saturation after the patch, then I will just take advantage of that and use a ranged weapon.Comment

I've been a shotgun nut since the very early days of Half-life. The Clark is great fun and will be even more fun post-1.4. I can actually verify this first-hand since I've been playing the 1.4 beta for a few weeks now. Prior to 1.4 the rate of fire could be a little frustrating particularly with all the boosts the ARs got. Now the playing field has been levelled a bit and there's simply no better CQC gun. There's nothing better than a Clark in a Titan and post-1.4 I'll just be even more invincible than I was before!
