How hyped were YOU for this game?

I bought the game after all my buddies (and fellow UTC members) bought it.

I didn't want to buy it but the same is for me. Everyone else was playing it so I did as well.

I was looking forward to it but not desperately.

IIRC, there was a lot of bother over it because it was using the same engine as BF2. I never bothered about it seeing how almost all games is using another game's engine *coughquake3enginecough* :P

THe game actually surprised me quite a bit. It's definately the most battlefield to date and after the attrocity of BF2, it was badly needed.

I am rather disappointed by the lack of content support the game has. Only 10 maps at release, half of which are copy/pastes of karkand hotel flag. Even fewer vehicles than BF2 and the number of bugs that are still to be fixed from beta and even BF2 is somewhat disappointing.

Other than that, I feel I got what I paid for... Even if the master server problems prevented me from really playing for the first month or so =/

I had no intentions of buying this game given that I thought BF2 was the biggest POS released. Someone else got the game for me and I tried it out. I like that the cone of fire is vastly reduced compared to the many failures of BF2.

No hype. I didn't even know about this game until I saw my buddy play it. Only reason I play this is because everything is so balanced. Infantry vs. Infantry and Vehicles vs. Infantry is very balanced. Only reason why I play this instead of BF2. Damn jets and pro Heli pilots. Always kill me...

i was only sorta hyped up.

bf2 was ok in certain aspects... but a colossal failure when it came to the damn jets and super heli pilots. servers would just turn into point farms for them.

so, i was hoping there would have been the all-might patch for bf2 to save everything.... i was kinda pissed when they were making 2142 so soon. too me they took manpower away from bf2 when they could have used it to fix their game.

2142 is a great game, but i think the failures of bf2 and how soon 2142 was released, were the downfalls (and why 2142's numbers aren't near as good as bf2's.... even still!). i guess i was just hoping 2142 would be more balanced (which it is) and it would help me forget about bf2.

Come ON. The singapore chicken isn't THAT good.

I'd go as far to say Japanese Terriaki Chicken = better.

I quit BF2142 after I got it and gave the game away. Then I ended up buying the game again because I realize how good it was.

Didn't like at first - but now I love it more than BF2.

Not at all, in fact i wasnt going to get it. A few friends got it, and persuaded me to, been having a mediocre time ever since.

I wasnt going to get this due to the advertisements in game and boycotted EA products, but my now ex clan members where saying its amazing and I ended up getting hooked on the gameplay...

After Getting Bored of BF2 rather quickly, this seems a lot more refreshing and balanced than its predessor, shame im not on enough lately. I prefer single player games tbh but this is probably the best mp game bar quake 2 that Ive played...

After selling my BF2 account on E-Bay ( very succesfully =)) ) I been pretty hyped about BF2142. I pre-Ordered it on Click-and-Buy as soon as it was available for pre-Load.

Right now I like playing BF2142...again. After all the whining and complaining in BF2, all the patches etc. pretty much ruined the game. I stopped for a while with BF2142 because of the TITAN exploits and such. I also been kind of sceptical when they announced a Booster pack so shortly after the release.

Also did I had the problems in the beginning when I first downloaded it, to be permantly kicked by PUNKBUSTER. Overall I just hope they won't ruin it this time with patches and change the whole game.

Who knows how BF3 will be or BF3000 something =)). I will check out QW:ET as well

PS: Anybody wants a BETA KEY for WORLD IN CONFLICT ?? Just sent me a PM. Due to my job and working hours I can't use it, and I don't have the time to download the 1.7 GB of files for it.

A conflict between US / NATO and COMMUNIST FORCES.
It actually looks kick arse from pictures and such. I read a lot about it and I will definately buy it to check it out as soon as they release it.
