How hyped were YOU for this game?

Wow, when I think back, there's no game in history that I hyped more than Battlefield 2142. Back at the E3 when they introduced the game (in 2005 I think) I watched the trailers over and over again at least a couple hundred times.

Then, when the beta time came around, I desprately tried to get in it. I actually bought a Fileplanet subscription just to get into the beta.

Well, even though this is a quality game, it turned out that 2142 wasn't worth all the hype I put into it.

So, thinking back a few years, how hyped were YOU for this game?

nt much at first for 1942, got introduced actually. after i got it then i tried playing vietnam. not totally crazy about it, but to continue the game, i got bf2, n loved it, so i got bf2142.

I got 2142 at a whim, I had never played BF2 or 1942 before. Just got sick of modding BFME, and needed something else to do. My little bro picked it up and said "Wow that looks neat!". Anyway, I bought it the next week, the day after Thanksgiving. In other words, I wasn't really hyped up for it, I just wanted to try something new.

I was pretty hyped for it but not as much as I was for BF2. I'm not a huge fan of futuristic fps games.

From what I'd seen I wasn't too impressed with 2142 from it's promotional art and it's extremely crappy beta/demo. The only reason I ended up buying it was because the rest of my BF2 clan did.

I didn't even really lilke the game until I had played about 50 hours or so...

I was loking forward to this game but i did fear i would still be back to BF2 after a month or so, but im still here

I was at Best buy one day and seeing as how long I spent playing bf2 *cough*singleplayer*cough* I picked it up and bought it. I thought I was gonna play singleplayer only but I wanted the unlocks so I went into a multiplayer game. The rest is history.

hell i didnt even knw there was a new version coming back then i just kept playing bf2 last year then i found out it was gettin released soon so i kinda got excited then i didnt O.o so i nvr got it till a few months back =P

I thought battlefield 2 was really boring, then they decided to take a step into the future? I didn't expect much at all...
But then out of boredom I downloaded the demo, thought it was OK and bought the game.

Zero! Null. Nichts. I just played BF2 Single Player and hated BF2142's futuristic warfare. Oh, well. Here I am.
