    Firing delay after jumping

Yesterday I tried stealthily capping the Harbour on Camp G. I was sitting there, in the little corner. Clark out. IDS bleeping on the crate behind me. Dots slowly converging on me. I crouched down and prepared to fire on the first challenger.
He jumps over one of those barriers around the flag and guns me down, barely hitting the floor before I hit the dirt.

I tried again about 5 mins later. Same place. Same Clark. Same IDS. Same dots.
Same enemy jumping over the barrier and gunning me down, practically midair.

How come these people can fire so soon after jumping? I tested when I respawned and there was a huge delay between me hitting the ground and being able to fire my Clark.
Is it dependant on the weapon you use? Both the people who killed me were using Vosses. Does the Voss just have a smaller delay than some other guns?

I am guessing lag. The server actually see them landing (and shooting) before you do.

Theres also the jump-prone trick. You jump and hit prone right away and you can fire while your body is hitting the ground.

In midair, if you go prone, you can shoot.

Prone needs a HUGE NERF. I see too many dolphin fiving prone n00bs spamming. Ticks me off like nothing else.

yep and when they jump i put one in their head...and they die. i dont waste time jumping and prone. two keys atleast before even shooting. i crouch and shoot. 1 button before shooting. aim well and it works like a charm.

Doesn't it make you wonder how they knew you were there and shooting at you before you could even shoot back, and you KNEW they were coming so your reflexes and attention was maxed out. They were Voss users so they couldn't have put any sonar on you. Were you in line of sight or hidden? It sounds very suspicious. I usually play Support and use the IDS and get very annoyed when I am ready to ambush someone who cannot see me and does not know I am there and they wind up shooting me first. I have a fast internet connection and a one shot kill clark. I should win that contest hands down, especially since I know where they are they should not know where I am. Very annoying.

yes but you must think about if any enemy UAVs are flying around so they see you

That's right, I always forget about them. Good point, I stand corrected. Sigh, I am wrong once again. I am wrong so much of the time it is pitiful.

Also, you can see when your flag is being captured (lowering on the flagpole), and at that flag in particular there is pretty much that one spot to try and hide in.

Probably lag. I've been on Vent and killed a friend only to have him tell me that he unloaded 5-8 bullets into me, whereas on my screen he did nothing before I killed him. And that's when we both have sub-75 pings.

Yeah, I have played other games where you unload on the enemy and watch him drop to the ground dead, and then the message comes that you were killed by him. Your computer makes the best guess of what to display based upon what it thinks is happening, and then the server decides what really happened and updates your computer that you actually lost. It's confusing. But with delays over the internet, it has to be.

well mate you'll get over it dont worry, i become so mad too in those situations, lol I panic so much when capturing a flag, look around like crazy till its captured .

and sometimes its so funny that my team mate shoots me if he is surprised and I pop out near him, sometimes I do that for fun but I dont punish him , oh and sometimes I just crawl him from behind when he is lying, I pull my knife out and swing it on ground to make some noise then he panics and kills me hehehehe im so evil
