I dont know. I think he might be getting screwed, its all from the same server . Go and play on ATU and if you can play there for along time without anything crazy you should be safe. If anything I would ask admin at that site. Since he sent it in, maybe he can tell you something.

this means someone using your game account (you or your brother) cheated/hacked.

punkbusted bans are saved only for those who have conclusive evidence against them. you'd have been tossed from my gaming community as well, even if your brother did it. you're in charge of your account. you don't have to have your password auto-saved when logging on either.... esp. when more than 1 person use your computer and play the same game. sorry, but you are responsible.

Unfortunately, I find people are accusing me. Tell me, if u looked at our profile, is their anything on stats that even says I've been hacking? What have I done that looks like I was hacking? My bro knows I'm not hacking, mainly because he is the one playing. I, on the other hand, am going on to the forums that I originally went to, Atari forums. Our cus once came over for a hack specificaly for a game called MapleStory, but that's all. Once again, I find it sad people blame me.

Well Nasi, according to punkbuster someone has been hacking on that particular account, so what are we supposed to think?

1. Punkbuster is wrong?
2. PassTheChips is working on his cover story to get back in his Clan?
3. Another user on that account has been hacking?

Without knowing any of you, option 3 seems likely.
So far I haven't seen anybody dispute the punkbuster evidence, so how do you explain that?

I can see that there actually only was one ban:

Well, when my cus was over, he still had the game hack running for MS on. I just thought I'd leave it on because there was a another security service on that one (gameguard). As soon as I went into a server it said I was gamehacking with the same address as the one listed, I think. But it only happened one time to me. Also, I'd been playing around with the images of the posters so it might be that too, as it also was affecting my play with the note saying invalid image So I have 3 things that could've gotten me punkbusted or my bro punkbusted.

I think this is the answer. Punkbuster might not care what the hack is for.

If you mean the ads, then no. Me and several others have done that without problems.

The report is not actually on punkbuster, but on punksbusted.
Its a service where members share a master ban list of things that punkbuster doesn't ban for.

From their FAQ

There are three basic ban types. PsB only deals with one kind. So please discover what type you have first by reading the following.

1. Local Server Bans:
This ban is only on a specific server. You will find that all other servers you can still join but that one. This situation is where an admin of a server has decided you are no longer welcome there. This is up to that admin and is not part of PsB's system. You need to contact the admin or post on their forums to deal with them. This has nothing to do with PsB or EvenBalance (Punkbuster).
2. PsB AMBL Bans. More commonly known as MBL Bans:
These are the bans that PsB does control and are all across our member servers. You may find that a lot of good servers suddenly are not available to you and you get the same message on them all. These servers include privately owned, league and some official servers operated by game companies. The key point is that all these servers subscribe to PsB's Auto-MBL system. This is the ban type that you file an appeal for here at PsB. PsB doesn't unban because your brother did it, saying you won't do it again ("second chance") or similar excuses. We ban via the GUID and not by player at the keyboard. PsB has a zero tolerance policy for cheats on your system. PsB does not unban leaked cd-keys/guids no matter who claims ownership. These are the bans that affect all PB supported games and are under the control of Even Balance, the maker of PunkBuster. What you have is a MBL ban, which keeps you from playing on punkbusted member servers.

If you know my me i dont give a **** about stats. The thing that pisses me off is now i cant play oon my old canmates server anymore.

Another thing that pisses me off is that this supposed hack happened 3 months ago i got no notice or email of it and have been playing on my clan server since yesterday. I got news of it by the can officials.

They do not even say how i gamehacked. What in the name of hell was i hacking and how did it benefit me at all? Judging by my stats it was not godmode or anything like that. How can i remedy the solution or give defense to what happened if I did not know what happened.

Worst of all PB takes for ever to respond to a post.

And NO my brother did not hack. I would especially know so stop accusing him.

Also about the Maplestory hack. Maplestory does not run on Punkbuster so Punkbuster should not have been able to pick that up. And it says i have been banned 4 times when I know my cousin obvoiusly used this engine over 30+ times which also leads me to doubt why this happened.


All i know is that I cant play or talk to my friends in clan without xfire.

^Wpe my stats just give me the ability to go other servers.

I love how Kain and the such dont get perma IP bans when I dont even know how I hacked or if I did yet they give me a ban.:shakehead:

Better just look forward to mods since this game has no value if your friend are on a server you cant play anymore.

Jeeze look at all the people here attacking him lol. I know for a fact that punkbuster is not 100% right. Hell I've seen a few of my members get PB banned and after some complaining on their part they mystersly (sp?) get unbanned and then a sorry from PB themselves stating they screwed up.

PB sucks. Anyone sitting here thinking they ban based off of screenshots only needs to read up on their procedures. He could of been banned for running fraps or some other game monitoring program for example. I've heard of that happening a million times as well.

Don't jump on the guy. Innoccent until proven guilty. Theres nothing we (the board) can do for you dude. You have to send in a ticket to PB and basically get the story. I can see why people are jumping on you just based off all the information you've given. If anything this should teach you to be more careful in the future.

Anyone who has played with me can probably vouch i have never done anything wrong or suspicous in my whole career in bf2142.

I was just wanting to see if anyone had experienced this before and could offer help.

I scanned my whole computer and nothing came up. I guess Ill just have to live with the pain
