First attempt to connect always fails

it just recently started happening, when i load the game and try to connect to a server, it always fails to connect the first time. after that it's fine, but it never successfully connects on the first try. anyone else?

I know what you are talking about. It happens to me too... But im glad that there is no other big problem, or atleast i don't have. So it doesn't bother me that much...

It's been happening to me atleast 3 days(more or less)... It's really weird how one problem figures out itself and another problem occurs...

I have the same problem. And the third time I try to connect to a server, PnkBstrB.exe has a fatal error. I just go restart it in services, but I don't know what it would do if I didn't restart it.

i don't use xfire....anyways its puzzling that we have these weird bugs/problems that come out of nowhere (not introduced by any new patches). where are they coming from???? and why in the world when we have bugs like this and another show-stopping bug that freezes the map loading at 60% (radical.cdb bug) does DICE not address it or at least even acknowledge it? it's so frustrating with DICE and battlefield 2142 sometimes.... ARGH!

No xFire here, but it's been happening to me for 3-4 days, 1st server seems to be connecting then "Your connection to the server has been lost". I thought it was that I was trying to connect to a reserved-slot server when the un-reserved slots were full, maybe, since I have that annoying dialogue box turned off. But maybe it's just another Dice/EA "easter egg" for us!

I thought it had been fixed yesterday, as for once it actually connected first time. Unfortunately, alittle later that proved not to be the case and it has returned to failing on the first time again.

I've had it for over a week, I have''nt checked the PB updates, but I assume both server connects and the 10 second locks are down to PB.
Neither problem occurs when hosting a game locally.

No, it started before that for me. I think it may of even been before the weekend aswell...
