What to do against a good gunship pilot??

Pilots get greedy after awhile. Even the best of them eventually lose focus and slow down a bit too much to take down that tank, or strafe at too low of an altitude to massacre infantry. The best defenses against good gunship pilots are

1) PATIENCE

2) The proper loadout (SAAW for long range takedowns, Pilum for short range ground-to-air).

When they make their mistake and get a little greedy, be prepared to capitalize and make them pay for it.

In my experience, I usually try to avoid good gunship pilots and be somewhere they are not. Don't fight unnecessary battles. If confrontation is unavoidable, then a few deaths to a Pilum usually deters them and makes them use more conservative tactics.

Just wait, sooner or later you will see one of us make that STUPID move that gets us killed. Stupid, like wasting our second to last volley of missiles on Titan Guns, Going after that APC before going for the tank, ignoring the enemy gunship in the hopes of finishing off that Air Transport... As much as we train ourselves not to, we all do it eventually, and that is what leads to our deaths :cry:

You could hit suicide button if you miss the shot and you expect an assured dead by his hand.

That could confuse him for few seconds and making him dive around for a lil' while wondering where are you or wtf happened, giving your teammates a little chance to land their shots.

I have done this against x=Fast=x and worked few times.

Deny him his gunship of course.

Me + APC + Pilum seems to work on most things including the Gunship. It really is simple... EMP him, hop out and Pilum him.

Job done.

i tell you what today I did some good stuff. i was in armor (apc) -when the gunship comes in to fire at your rear ( like good pilots will , just emp them _ I took down 2 gunships today doing this.Also got another one as he flew over I podded up and right through him, like a human cannon ball and proceed to taunt him with messages about my jedi like qualities..

Thats a lie, the winner is the better pilot. I have been ambushed many a time and came out victorious...
