I admit, I play on knife servers often, but no to stat pad! I couldn't care less about my stats. My KD ratio is 0.3 :laugh:

But I have to play on ranked knife servers. Why, you ask? Because all the unranked servers are in the US and I get crappy ping with US servers so I have to go on European servers and all of them are ranked.

If I spend 300000$ (600$) on a two-story house (ranked server), I expect the government (EA) to let me murder (TK), rape (redline), steal and more. Why oh why won't they just leave me alone to do this on my property? Obviously, this makes no sense. We have rules for a reason.

because the game is stats orientated and thus certain rules playing on a server where rules are enforced that cause "artificial" gameplay then any kind of kp server is stat padding and against the rules

A lot of the rules, in particular the one against K&P servers, are ridiculous. If you've purchased the game, and you're paying for a server you should be able to do whatever the hell you like on it.

I thought when you buy the game you are only buying a "license" to play the game and that you have to play by EA's set rules..... but that is just me

EA DOES NOT CARE ABOUT K AND P ROOMS.

When you go looking for a room all I see is KP KP KP KP KP. I have to really read the rooms now, to where before I just look at where I was going, how many people and ping. Now I have to read what the room says, eventho now some dont say KP.

Bottom line, ea does not care, go whore out the rooms, once you get SC they will wipe you. Or not, cause ChrisJohn is still not wiped, so they dont care!

I care a little about stats; I try to keep my round-to-round KDR at least at 2. I get my knife and pistol badges the "hard" way.

Stat-padding in general is pretty pathetic, but I frankly couldn't care less if people want to play knife/pistol servers.

I think they are boring. I understand people want promotions so they can get their shiney new weapons. However, they are boring, boring, boring. Kind of like being commander. You can get lots of points, but lets face it, it's boring. A real game killer. It's kind of like a trip. Half of the fun is getting there. If you simply arrive you miss the trip. Points are nice but playing is fun, knife games are....well, you know....boring.

Are you kidding? This game would be would be so boring if it weren't for knives. One on one knife dueling is hands down the single funnest thing to do in this game. IMHO of course. Although I admit, when everyone in a knife server gets into a mob and no one's even trying to knife well, they're just running in a circle clicking, that is pretty gay. Don't assume everyone goes to knife servers for points, you can tell that alot of people have knife server specific acounts by reading the names of the people in the server. 80% of them will have "knife" somewhere in it.

You need to knife during regular games and take opportunities to get people. I find that when I knife people shooting me in CQC it is 10x better than getting someone in some special server.

Normal play has suspense.

1 Where is the player?
2 What kind of weapon do they have?
3 What is my objective?
4 What weapon do I want to use?
5 Vehicle or no vehicle?
6 Method of attack (if chosen)
7 Squad interplay and directions

All these are not part of the game in a knife only server. You know where they are and what weapon and sure there are some small techniques involved in surviving but the variety of the game just flew out the window and becomes boring. If running around with a bunch of people knifing each other floats your boat, do it. But gosh, this game has so much more to offer.

I beg to differ. Most people you try to knife, freak out and shoot wildly, making them eeeeeeasy to knife. The only times a decent knifer will die VS a scrub with a gun, is if that scrub has a clark, or a friend next to him. On the other hand, knife dueling is totaly different, you have to learn the correct distance you have to be from when they're running/strafing/prone/crounch/backing up to compensat for lagging hit boxes, and you have to know how long it takes for your knife to hit, from when you left click. You have to know how to evade, numerous ways or you'll just get owned. I used to think dueling was part luck, because of the dodgy hit and miss, but I've recently learned from CartoonPorn. that hitboxes lag WAY more than I used to think, and it's possible to hit behind someone and get their hitbox and get hits 80% of the time.

I just can't understand why people don't like knifing, they have NOTHING to complain about, there's no overpowered, or off balanced issues while knifing, it's 100% fun, and it's almost impossible to get frustrated, there are no RDX spamming because they will be banned like instantly etc etc. But they'd rather camp toll station on Gib and lob nades over the wall.
