EA released a RoC that specify you can't play on K&P servers, but screw that lets say that you can, what fun can be on joining a Knife only server you see around 20 people having a knife orgy in the middle of the map, you say you are not there to stat pad but the admins make the round last forever saying that the flags must be even at all times, there are a lot of medics reviving the fallen guys so the rounds last how long the people want, I used to join knife servers to f*ck em up but got banned from most of them I might start again sometime, so if you are there.

Normal play has suspense.

1 Where is the player? Probably at the flag right infront of yours.
2 What kind of weapon do they have? Voss. Ganz. Lambert. Zeller.
3 What is my objective? Get behind them and cap them out.
4 What weapon do I want to use? Lambert/camo.
5 Vehicle or no vehicle? If there's a jeep, hell yes.
6 Method of attack (if chosen) Take them from behind! Sneak back to their last base, and knife/shoot anyone back there and take their kit, (it's prolly medic) so you can revive squad mates.
7 Squad interplay and directions. If your squad aren't morons that is.

All these are not part of the game in a knife only server. You know where they are and what weapon and sure there are some small techniques involved in surviving but the variety of the game just flew out the window and becomes boring. If running around with a bunch of people knifing each other floats your boat, do it. But gosh, this game has so much more to offer.

Like I said I have a main account, and I play alot fo conquest. I'm not a huge fan of titan, because I don't really enjoy vehicles all that much. But when my clanmates are on, I'm always up for some RDX spamming on the enemy titan. And you're right it has ALOT to offer but alot of it gets old pretty quick. Unlike knifing someone, who you've danced with for 5 minutes, and finally get the satisfaction that you are a better knifer then they.

Empty but fine. But you are right, in a way, playing away from the ranking system does improve the game greatly.

Now that I do NOT understand. When someone goes onto a regular server and glitches and ****s it up by going 89-0 everyone tries to votekick and cry and whine, yet you find pleasure in doing the same to people who want to enjoy knifing, and a couple 12 year olds that want to pad their knife badges? Why? Were you not loved or something? Why would you go way out of your way to make other people angry and frustrated, like the blatant hackers do with names like "ROFL iHACK"?

I do find some pleasure in steamrolling knifers in an APC on Berlin Knife Servers. Because hey - that road of hazard pin is hard to get.

I've just lately been getting into knifing and find it very entertaining. I've said it before and been totally flamed for saying it,

"I think that with the popularity of K&P servers, we could deduce that there is a desire within the player base for this kind of game play. Perhaps there might be a new game mode created to accomodate this type of play which would not interfere with the ranking."

Or, perhaps an ALL NEW MOD featuring knives and pistols in an arena-type environment might be called for? That would be a great mod! There are ways to track scores outside of official ranking since it seems like many like the stats to track how well they are doing against others.

DISCLAIMER: I do not endorse K&P servers and do not use them myself. I have two soldiers [gT]SonicPixel and RobertJordan; both still need Silver/Gold Knife and Silver/Gold Pistol badges... I'm the very definition of clean.

anyone that hasnt seen 32 players locked in knife combat in the middle of the street cutting and reviviing fighitng for every ticket hasnt seen some serious fun

it's like watching mating snakes all piled on top of one another non stop action

and why lock a thread that has people discussing their own point of views on the topic old or new people are passionate let them have their say

These threads get locked because once the discussion turns to K&P servers, you start to get folks who defend playing in an illegal server. Forum rules forbid the discussion of game exploits and K&P servers exploit the stats system DICE/EA created and they aren't real happy about that. Thus, they normally don't last long before lockage.

People agreed.

Mods didnt.

I got insulted, tried to reply, found the thread locked AND deleted, and refreshed. Lo and behold, I am banned.

Though its funny how more people care about others stats than others think of their own.

Anyways, why are Stats so important to EA (or DICE?) That they have to have rules against "padding". I mean not to be a an *******, but who cares? Anyone would be able to see that those stats were padded anyhow. I just can't understand why people make stats out to be such a big deal, with making rules against going about achieving them, and people actually spending time going through other people's stats... I mean I can understand someone going through like a couple people off the top 10, but some people will bring up totally obscure stats and be like "ZOMG what do you think of his statsorz I think he h4x!" I just can't wrap my head around that.

First off you werent even around when I made the thread, but what the hell, Ill reply anyway.

I worded it fine. People agreed. People here say worse **** than I did in that thread, but the mods dont care.

But yeah, its cool, the moderators dont like me here.
