Does anyone have a link to a video in which someone is pod surfing? Because I have never seen it.
Pod Surfing Cheat or not??

waggling your pod a little to land, say, 80m in front of your beacon using an 800dpi mouse is bearable. using a 200000000dpi mouse to waggle from Harbour to Ruins in Camp G (skipping the whole battling-it-out-for-control-of-middle thing) is just screwing up the balance. PAC were given 30 more tickets for a reaon, if everyone could just podsurf to Ruins then the game should start with equal tickets.Comment

It's like bunnyhopping in CS, wasn't intentional but is a hardly a problem, you can't surf massively far away but it can be a lifesaver for your team if you're being pinned in at one flag (say on berlin for EU) to get behind and get flags.

Here is another one
I don't think that weren't suppose to be possible anymore, since they "fixed" that. But if this "surf"(see videos above to see what i mean) thing is gonna spread out again, i bet that we are gonna see that happenin more often.Originally posted by dontsh000twaggling your pod a little to land, say, 80m in front of your beacon using an 800dpi mouse is bearable. using a 200000000dpi mouse to waggle from Harbour to Ruins in Camp G (skipping the whole battling-it-out-for-control-of-middle thing) is just screwing up the balance. I consider it an exploit when someone goes more than a few meters, but it's difficult to measure that type of distance while playing and admin'ing. We allow people to be on rooftops via beacons so I'm ok with someone putting the beacon next to a roof and spinning slightly to get on said roof. I'm not ok with someone flying from one flag to another or putting the beacon 100m from the roof and then landing on the roof.
I do wish that DICE would get rid of this "ability" or otherwise chime in on the matter.Comment

I've never had any problems doing it myself (1600dpi mouse, with 1.5 sensitivity in-game), and can travel reasonable distances (ie, harbor to toll-station on campG).
But I refrain from doing it most times, as I do consider it quite an exploit. Although saying that, i do like to use it when i believe my team is far weaker than the opponents and on the back foot so to speak (for example heavily out numbered being base raped - ie: berlin/belgrade blocked in surrounded by walker + apc + campers).
At the same time however, i have never noticed anyone else doing it, other than moving short distances (10m tops), which i do find surprising as to how easy it is.
Seeing as so many people do not seem to know how to do it, i think it would be best if it is taken out of the game some how.Comment

Well, I've seen pod surfing and figured it to be pretty lame.
I usually play on FF off servers so I laugh at the fools that pod themselves to the top. Since, all I have to do is throw RDX at my feet and fly up there and give them a booming surprise with my last RDX.Comment

Horizontal Podding is a "Key Feature"
Quote from EA's website, key features section for Northern Strike
- "Horizontal podding gives infantry additional ways of moving across the maps quickly".
So it is meant to be used to move across maps, although using high dpi mouse settings to max this feature out is probably unintended by the developers.Comment

As you quoted, horizontal podding for Northern Strike. But like i said before i saw this in Fall Of Berlin. And i don't think that "horizontal podding" is suppose to happen in normal maps, like Fall Of Berlin.Quote from EA's website, key features section for Northern Strike

there is also a eu gunship and transport dnt see that on the map tho do ya
plus the lag base is to high up for it to be a building so its more likly rubble of sum sort unless eu made 500ft flags O.oComment

The EU won the battle, so it was safe for them to bring in air transports and have rooftop parties, duh. Can't do that in battle.
My opinion?
Rooftopping = fair.
Surfing to the back base from your home base = exploit.Comment

No, it's for the 128 player servers. :p
There's only one flag and it's all the way on top of a building and the objective is to stand upon your fellow soldier and climb your way to the top. The only problem, the enemy is climbing up on their side. So take out the bottom man before they build their pyramid. :salute:
