It seems pretty hard to capture the PAC home base because there are so many bases that need to be guarded. If one base is capped by PAC then you can't capture the home base.

I got it yesterday but without even capturing the base myself I think. I think one of my squad member was there or something but I don't think I captured the base...maybe...No big deal.

Either I am a VERY unlucky/crap player, or that pin is VERY hard to get...

I got it yesterday for the first time. Spent the whole game repeatedly taking out the enemy UAV and sat track, hoping that would help my team take and defend flags unopposed. Either it worked, or it was a coincidence, but we captured the main base, and "dingleleleing" Mr Pin appeared.

I think that you should get a bonus unlock for it: Something that's not actually helpful - just cool. ...Like for example a parrot that sits on your shoulder and squawks "PWN'D!" at dead bodies after you shoot them.
